The cabin is located in a small village called Moskojärvi in swedish Lapland. The cabin has electricity. But no running water. Water will be provided in canisters. There isn't a bathroom, but it has a wood heated sauna, were you can shower. The toilet is a outside "dry" toilet. The kitchen has a fridge and a gas cooker. The cabin has a woodstove. We provide wood. But we don't heat up the cabin. It's located next to my house were I live with my boyfriend and our 23 husky's.

Welcome to stay in Muonio! A peaceful small village of around 1100 inhabitants, located on the bank of the river Muoniojoki. Just a few hundreds metre of the front channel of the river you find our peaceful, cosy house. You will be able to use one half of the house. The house has two flats which are not connected. Privacy and peace for our guests! To the centre of Muonio, where you can find a very good selected K-market shop and also a S-market it is just about 2,2 km.

There is no any street lights so you can see the Northern lights very well. 2 adults and 1 to 3 young children are easily accommodated in the house (cot available). Nice, spacious house with all amenities you need. Some parts are a bit outdated, and it should be cleaned a little better. But otherwise it is a great house. The outdoor sauna is very nice and tidy. We received clear instructions from Ragnar about the house and saunas. The balcony is ideal for being able to quickly get outside from the living room to view the Northern Lights. Also the outdoor space is large, and ideal for sledding or playing. Nearby are beautiful hiking and skiing areas. We made a beautiful trip through The Old Postoffice Sweden. Highly recommend. And also definitely visit Forest Jewels, where the Sami sell their made stuff. It was also nice that Ragnar was easy to reach and always willing to offer help where necessary.

We are driving with 6 girls in Ritva's cabin and we had the time of our life everything was perfect. Ritva was always super accessible and gave us beautiful tips to explore the area. Even when we had a problem with our rental car, she helped to find a garage. This place was a 10 out of 10 when we arrived everything was totally cozily lit and chubby warm. If we go to Lapland again, we'll go back to this cabin. Thank you very much Ritva for everything. You're great ❤️

Mia’s place is a gem! We were so glad to stay here, near the amenities of Akaslompolo but much quieter and also free of light pollution. Being able to get on the cross country ski tracks from our door was amazing… particularly because these tracks are virtually empty, like you have them to yourself. And, the kota (traditional hut) is really special… stocked with firewood so that you can use it when you want, anytime. We saw the northern lights 3 out of 4 nights!!!!! And we loved the cozy atmosphere of the cottage. Once you figure out how Finnish saunas work by using Mia’s instructions in her book… it heats up really nicely in 30 minutes OR you can set a timer for when you are going to arrive back. We loved it here!

The place was very cool. On foot, however, you have about 15-20 minutes to walk to the shop and therefore you are almost dependent on a car. The location is very quiet and you feel like home. Everything is pretty close, whether for skiing, cross-country skiing or other activities.
