Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lothian

Melissa was a friendly, helpful and very responsive host. The house was exactly want we wanted and expected. The place was also spotless. The rooms were all good sizes and the bathroom was modern and had a really nice shower (with a bath for the kids) l. The location was great for our little family that wanted space in the evenings but happy to travel a bit to get into Edinburgh, we found the short drive to Kirkcaldy where we could park at the station and get a train directly into central Edinburgh worked perfectly for us. Or you could use as a base for driving to different parts of Scotland. I wish we had time to look at the local area some more as it's near a coastal path. I would definitely come again and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our toddler especially loved exploring outside and had a great time running around the old Kirk next door. A lovely, peaceful spot—we’d definitely stay again!

Loved it here, gardens were in full bloom and glorious to spend time wandering around. I found the home very comfortable, and we were very well catered for. Breakfast was fab and the facilities provided all we could have needed.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed - both the beauty of the surroundings and the house itself with gorgeous views and unique design and decor. Cozy living room with great view. Basically two master bedrooms. Great kitchen and dining room. Nice deck if weather permits. Close to railway walking path. I even caught four brown trout from shore just across the lake. Highly recommend!

Oriel House was stunning! One of the best places we have stayed in. It was spacious, well equipped, very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Bedding and towels were super clean. Opening the curtains in the morning from the main bedroom to a beautiful castle was so lovely. Walking distance to a shop, pubs and the beach. Grace was a great host, she replied very quickly and gave information/recommendations and the welcome treat on arrival was a lovely touch. We didn’t want to leave Oriel House as we had a fab time. Definitely recommend Oriel House and Northumberland. ❤️❤️

What stunning views and such a tranquil location. Loved our stay and hosts were so accommodating when we were a little late and they opened up for our grocery delivery driver! We are a family of four with a dog and loved using the enclosed garden, bbq and fire pit. Beds are comfortable and showers are super. Even the sofa bed is great! Would stay again. We had a wonderfull stay in this almost like new house. Highly recommanded!

We would highly recommend this place for couples. it is located a little way out of the town so a car is needed. The apartment is very spacious clean and well appointed. We were very warm and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and we enjoyed the peaceful surrounds of farm lands.

Absolutely loved our long weekend in North Berwick and this flat was absolutely perfect for a special time together. The views were stunning, bed really comfortable and flat was just beautiful. So happy to have had this experience.

Jay was a great host and really Helpful and responsive. Had everything we needed. Sadly didn’t get chance to drink the Prosecco! Everything was perfect.

Dawn’s flat was perfect for our four night stay! Really well situated, with lots of shops and cafes in walking distance. The flat is well equipped with everything you need and was immaculate on arrival.

This Airbnb was nice. Nice host. It had a queen sized bed. Nice new carpet in the front room and bedroom. (The pics show hard wood floors. It is carpet now). Nice modern decor. And fresh smelling. There were No musty smells. There were about 10-15 stairs to get up with your luggage and the apartment is thru a gate and behind the building. We would stay here again.

We stayed at Dunc & Dee’s place for 4 nights. The location is just perfect. All high street shops are literally around the corner and l all important sights, like palace, cathedral etc. are in walking distance. Perfect spot to explore the city’s famous places. And for all foodies: plenty of great restaurants around - the Noto leas than 1 min away from the flat. I can highly recommend it!

Lovely Airbnb, perfect location for exploring the Scottish cost with good transport links into Edinburgh. Gullane was lovely and had plenty to do in too, would definitely recommend!

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

Such a beautiful home and perfect for our family’s stay for our daughter’s wedding at a farm nearby. Such a unique property and we were grateful for the gorgeous back garden since we had such great weather. Kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed the setup of the house overall.

It was a wonderful place to stay with great scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere . The hosts Alexandra and David were such great people which made the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Beechwood. The pictures do not do it justice, the house is stunning with each room clean, spacious, and designed impeccably and tastefully. The house was well-equipped and our whole group especially loved the addition of the hot tub. The grounds and gardens are lovely with scenic woodland walks right on your doorstep. The location was great, with enough privacy to feel secluded but only a short walk to the high street. Nick was a great host; always attentive and super responsive. He generously offered flexible check-in and check-out times and was always on hand for any questions we had. I can’t recommend Nick’s place enough and our group will all definitely be back again soon!

Amazing house with lots to do. The room at the top of the spiral stairs was just a bit difficult to get into and out of, with low ceilings, and it gets warm up there. One more bathroom for that number of bedrooms could be nice... but it all worked out. It was pretty close to perfect for our family reunion. And it's great for hide and seek! We recommend it.

This was a perfect place for our large family group to use as a home base to explore the area. The house and yard were great and it had all the comforts of home. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a lovely house with beautiful views in a fantastic location! We got very lucky with sunny weather during our stay meaning we could make the most of the gorgeous surroundings - we did white water rafting on the River Tay and enjoyed the Taymouth Marina spa, all of which were a short drive away from the house. The house was just as described and pictured and the hosts were great - they were very responsive and flexible, allowing us to have both an early checkin and late check out. There is a good amount of parking at the property and the kitchen was well stocked with all amenities you could need. The house is on a main road but it is not busy and traffic noise was not an issue. I would definitely recommend this house to a group.
