“Bob and Tim are such thoughtful and generous hosts—you will feel welcomed and at home, as if you were staying with good friends. The house is cute and well appointed. The town is charming and something you might otherwise miss. It was very quiet—though we were there in winter—summer might be more lively but I doubt it. You can drive 5 minutes down the road to Madrid for more action or 30 minutes to Santa Fe. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends.”

“Jill’s place was charming in an artistic and rustic way. If you want an authentic southwest experience in a quiet village, you won’t be disappointed. This was a unique experience that I’m so glad we had. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and varied. I especially loved reading a book under a tree while relaxing on a huge outdoor daybed. The old adobe carriage house that we stayed in had some quirky plumbing, but we followed the directions of the hosts and had no problems. There is no AC but the adobe kept the place nice and cool in the daytime when we kept the doors open at night and closed everything up when it warmed up outside. The ceiling fan kept us cool enough even when the afternoon temp was almost 90. The nights were deliciously cool with a light breeze and no bugs even though we left the front door open. Jill and her husband were helpful, gracious and friendly. There are hiking and mountain biking trails nearby. It is a beautiful spot.”
Step back in time by staying in this beautiful lodge. Horse riding stables nearby and tipi is right across the road from Cerrillos Hills State Park which has been a mining mecca for hundreds of years starting with Turquoise. Hiking galore. Enjoy fine dining and great atmosphere at the Blackbird Saloon(open Thursday thru Sunday 10:am - 7:45pm) in the old village of Cerrillos. Santa Fe is 16 miles north of us and Madrid is 3 miles south. Many exciting options for art, food and culture so close by.
“What a great stay! We highly recommend staying here. Steve and Bonnie were tremendously kind. The grounds are beautiful, and nestled right next to a state park with nice walking trails. Waking up in the mornings with the sun creeping over the surrounding hills with the birds chirping was surreal. The tipi, Cerrillos, and Madrid were the getaway we needed after a busy weekend at the balloon festival. ✌🏼”
