We came to the area to ride the HMT. This place met all of our needs. It was cozy, comfortable and clean. The hot tub was an excellent bonus after a day of riding. The host responded quickly to any questions.
The image showcases a well-lit staircase made of concrete, featuring a handrail for support. The steps ascend towards a wooden deck, with decorative accents visible above. Soft lighting guides the way, highlighting the red brick walls on either side.

Just Like Home!

JohnRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This was a great place to stay, it was well stocked & clean. They really have everything you need but your toothbrush & toothpaste. We had 2 couples & 2 single adults in our group. The 2 king bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are pretty steep. It is the mountains so everything is steep but that is what we came for. 1 of the couples that planned on staying in 1 of the king rooms could not make it up the stairs so we had to do some rearranging of sleeping arrangements but it was fine. The drive is also pretty steep so be careful when coming in at night, there is a huge drop off to the right at the top of the drive. We had 2 crew cab trucks each with 22 ft trailers for side by sides and made it. It was pretty tight to turn around but we did it. This is standard in the mountains so be prepared, they also have additional parking available across the highway but did not utilize it. Close to 3 trail heads and had a great time. Living/Sun rooms are good for 4 adults each

Black Bear Cabin

Wonderful place to stay. Dollar store in walking distance. Pizza place two doors down. My only recommendation if you sleep with the bedroom door closed bring an extra fan. Bedrooms hold heat at night.
An outdoor porch is presented, featuring wooden flooring and railings made of sturdy wood. Natural light casts shadows across the space, which includes ample room for seating. The background shows a grassy area and a small slope, contributing to the overall serene environment.

Had to make an unplanned trip for my brother’s funeral. It ended up being very close to his family. Lisa was very friendly and responded quickly to questions. Wonderful experience. So thankful this place was available for our stay. Would stay here again!!
A two-story residence is framed by lush greenery. A spacious driveway leads to a vehicle parked beside the house. A wooden deck with railings is visible above the garage, providing additional outdoor space.

Work hard play hard

I had a really nice stay at this little house in West Virginia. It wasn’t tucked away or remote, but it still felt peaceful and relaxed. The location was super convenient—easy to get to, close to town, and just a short distance from some great trails, which was a huge plus for me. The house itself was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfy, the space was quiet at night, and the whole place had a welcoming vibe. It felt like a perfect base for exploring the area during the day and relaxing in the evening. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy. I'd definitely come back!
