Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lofoten

The house is located on a beautiful hill overlooking the ocean & surrounding mountains, but with winter conditions a good car is definitely recommend. It’s cozy & the bedroom with the fireplace and chairs overlooking the area is stunning. Things to improve: Include timber (the owner was so kind & brought us some because we didn’t know we have to bring our own), maybe lower the price a little bit, the check in & checkout times & also making the beds ourselves we hoped it would be included in the amount of money we paid. But that’s only our opinion and we would definitely come back because we felt very comfortable in the house! Good distance to beaches, a nice coastal walk & also Leknes :)

Staying in Elin‘s Airbnb made our Lofoten trip even better! The place felt like home straight away and we even got welcomed with some grapes and chocolate. The landscape and nature around the house is just breathtaking every single time again. I can highly recommend staying there. Great host!!

Toril's place was wonderful. When we arrived it was dark, snowy and cold, but the house was warm and cosy for our arrival. It's beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The surroundings are breathtaking. Shopping and other city amenities are easily reachable by car (it's a beautiful drive, too!). Early during our stay we had an issue with over-sensitive fire alarms, but Toril replaced them very quickly. As some people have pointed out, the staircase for going upstairs is quite steep, but we got used to it quickly and it adds charm. Our time in Sennesvik felt truly magical, and Toril was a very generous host. We definitely recommend staying in this place, and would visit again.

The cottage is cozy, peaceful, and set in a beautiful location, and Benthe was so kind and helpful. Wish I could have stayed more days! Highly recommended.

Beautiful home with amazing view. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare food. The basement bathroom was awesome and we enjoyed the bathtub. However be very careful of the slope going up to the house during winter, if there is ice and snow it may be tricky to drive up.

La maison de la famille de Erna est merveilleuse, et confortable on se croirait chez nous. Mes enfants ont adoré pouvoir jouer tranquillement dans le grand espace salon inondé de lumière par la grande vais vitrée qui donne sur le jardin et la balançoire.

Logement spacieux, fonctionnel, conforme à la description, bien situé au centre des îles Lofoten. Proche des commerces. Les lits sont confortables. Les deux chats sont très agréables et adorent les caresses. Ils ne rentrent pas dans les chambres et ne touchent pas aux affaires personnelles. Merci pour cet agréable séjour aux îles Lofoten.

Eine wirklich sehr schöne und moderne Unterkunft von Alexander und Mia! Es ist alles was benötigt wird dort zu finden. Auch sonst sehr schön eingerichtet, sodass wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt haben. Zur Lage lässt sich sagen, dass innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß alle wichtigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants zu erreichen sind. Ansonsten ist Leknes ein super Startpunkt für eine Tour weiter in die Lofoten rein. Die Kommunikation mit den beiden Gastgebern war sehr angenehm und diese waren auch sehr flexibel. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und dort übernachten.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich gut. Es gab alles was man benötigt hat (genug Teller/ genug Pfannen und Töpfe). Zudem war auch alles sehr sauber. Die Kommunikation mit Joanna war ebenfalls immer sehr nett und es wurde einem immer zeitnah geantwortet. Man kann es einfach nur weiterempfehlen.

I had a great time staying there and there are lot of supermarkets in and around the apartment. Also the apartment was neat and clean and the owners are helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Astrid’s place was warm, homey and had everything we needed from the bathroom to kitchen. There are two living rooms to relax in after a warm shower. We were greeted by Astrid and her dog Luna during our stay. Leknes was a good town with multiple supermarkets.

Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour. L’emplacement est idéal entre Reine et A avec l’épicerie, resto et randonnée tout près. Logement tranquille et chaleureux, très bien équipé avec très belle vue. Mobilier confortables (divan et lit). Nous avons bien dormi grâce aux rideaux opaques et douillette chaude. Propreté impeccable. Excellente douche et lessive très pratique. Nous y sommes restés trois jours et c’était parfait. Je recommande fortement. Merci à nos hôtes 😃.

We had a great stay at Natalie’s apartment in Svolvær! The location is ideal – just a short walk to the town center, with supermarkets and other shops only five minutes away. The apartment also offers a lovely view of the water. Natalie was a very friendly and responsive host who replied quickly to any questions we had. We’d definitely stay here again – highly recommended!

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit Sicht auf die Hafeneinfahrt und die Ankunft der Hurtigrutenschiffe. Öffentliche Sauna gleich nebenan, bestes Restaurant von Nordnorwegen ca 20 Minuten zu Fuss.

Veldig koselig leilighet med en fin beliggenhet nær havet. Ryddig og rent, så alt var tipp topp. Ca. 15/20 minutters gange til sentrum, så det er en fin liten spasertur.

Hartelijke ontvangst door Peder! Fantastisch appartement en zeer goed uitgerust! Dichtbij het centrum en toch erg rustig in de omgeving van het bos! Mooie wandelingen en uitstapjes in de buurt! Wij hadden geluk met het weer en konden genieten van het zonnig terrasje met uitzicht op de bergen! Deze plekis een absolute aanrader!!

Le contact avec Per Willy a été particulièrement cordial. Nous avons eu l'agréable surprise de rentrer dans un logement douillet et chaud. Des boissons avaient été gentiment mises à disposition dans le réfrigérateur et des petites friandises nous attendaient. Les condiments, le café et le sucre étaient à disposition. L'emplacement est exceptionnel, à l'entrée du village de Reine, nous permettant de rejoindre à pied de magnifiques points de vue. Le stationnement étant payant pratiquement partout dans les Lofoten, il est particulièrement agréable d'avoir une place de parking à côté du logement. A conseiller sans hésitation !

Vi havde fornøjelsen af at bo 8 dage over påsken i Rogers lejlighed i Ballstad. Vi er rejst hjem utrolig glade og tilfredse. Lejligheden ligger skønt og centralt med gåafstand til alt ligefra indkøb til vandreruter til busstoppested. Indtjekning gik super nemt og uden problemer. Lejligheden levede helt op til billederne. Sengen og dyner var gode. Badeværelset havde en god bruser og var rent og nydeligt. Køkkenet manglede intet og stuen indbød til hygge. Udenfor var der bord og bænk vi spiste frokost ved og nød udsigten. Det var en stor luksus, at vi ikke skulle gøre hovedrent, men blot lægge håndklæderne i vasketøjskurven. Det siger vi tak for. Alt i alt følte vi os utrolig hjemme, og kunne sagtens havde taget en uge mere. Vi vil anbefale stedet og Roger som vært til alle som skulle ønske at besøge Ballstad. Roger var en fantastisk vært som hjalp os med at komme hjem da ingen busser kørte fra Ballstad. 100% et besøg værd, og et sted vi ønsker at komme tilbage til.
