Vacation rentals in Lochmaddy

Beautiful, quiet location. Caravan is nicer than the pictures show. Evelyn is a lovely host. We walked up to the Old Man of Storr, walked the fairy pools, visited Armadale Castle Gardens and Portree where the IoS pipe band were playing in the square. Drove through Quiraing to the Fairy Glen. Nice ice creams and friendly service from the Market Kitchen, also the deli opposite and Broadford Hotel. Efficient service received from Skye fit garage. Overall a fabulous experience.

We had a brilliant stay in Hebrides Cottage, owner Janice was excellent with her quick, helpful communication….we found everything we could possibly want or need was provided…..it was exceptionally clean. The cottage was in a fantastic peaceful location, the views from the bedrooms and kitchen were absolutely amazing. We visited local restaurants in Stornoway, and it was very easy to drive in to go to a variety of small shops and get supplies from the large Tesco and Co-op supermarkets. We visited many local sites, Callanish Stones, Dun Calloway - the best preserved Broch, Gearrannan Blackhorse, Butt of Lewis, Lews Castle and the very informative museum about Hebridean island life, we will definitely come back to stay again. Our first trip to the Island of Skye and what a stunning place! The view from Rhundunan was spectacular and the accommodation was clean, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed - including binoculars to view the local wildlife. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean. Juliet was so helpful and warned us before we arrived that the island relied heavily on Co-op supplies and due to their cyber breach we might need to visit a supermarket on our way through the mainland, rather than rely on supplies being available when we reached Skye. I was very grateful that she had alerted me because even the independent shops were being impacted at the time of our visit. Our time flew by and I really didn't want to leave. I would certainly love to go back again and would love to stay at Rhundunan again too. Thank you Juliet.

Our stay at Alistair’s place on the Isle of Skye was simply excellent. His house is cozy, spotless, and beautifully decorated; we truly felt at home there. Alistair’s hospitality was absolutely outstanding—he was friendly, attentive, and exceptionally helpful, going far beyond expectations. Spending a delightful evening together was an enjoyable and refreshing bonus. Thanks to Alistair, our visit to the island became an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend his place to anyone seeking authentic, welcoming, and stylish accommodation on Skye, situated in a beautiful location with stunning views. Sally's cottage was absolutely lovely! The house itself is beautiful. You really feel like you're a part of the Isle, with sheep as your neighbors and clear views and paths to the sea! All in all a wonderful vacation, but one tip just make sure to bring items like shampoo/conditioner/body wash/coffee pods and things like that, since it is fairly remote it was a bit difficult to get those since they weren't supplied.

We had a great stay at Jim's place. Very central, easy to find and park close by, all amenities walkable etc. etc. We cannot recommend this place enough. Great quality. Be Happy.

What a cracking property set in the “centre” of this stunning island. The cottage is very spacious , well equipped, clean and well kept. It has plenty of private parking and outdoor space. The walk into then town takes 15 to 20 minutes. If you want to drive there’s a large car park on the right as you enter the high st. Seumas and Maggie were friendly and easy to communicate with and offered any assistance or information should we need it. We were sad to leave and the view from the conservatory will never get boring.
