Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Locarno District

We had such a cozy winter weekend! Great fireplace, great kitchen and lots to do!

The house is beautiful and you immediately feel at home. It has a wonderful size and was more than sufficient for the four of us. We very much liked that spices, salt/pepper, oil, and tea were available. This is often not the case.

A very lovely home and Enrico is a consummate host. Pictures don’t do this cozy spot justice. We really enjoyed our time here. The old wood stove offers a delightful aroma that fills the whole place and the village feels like stepping back in time. Kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. Our host helped us test the wifi speed in advance for our remote work trip and graciously left us a bottle of wine. The stairs are steep and not kid-friendly. We found them a bit tricky and you do have to traverse them like ladders to use the toilet. While reading reviews, we noticed comments about black mould in the shower and do encourage the host to take care of this. It doesn’t appear to be anything that some bleach and elbow grease can’t fix and there is a window in the shower, so it is well ventilation. We also note that the mattress upstairs is nice and firm, but sags in the middle, which was fine for our length of stay. We enjoyed our time and hope to be back again soon!

The apartment is very cozy, loving and furnished with everything necessary. We only had to bring the terry towels ourselves, which was no problem. Everything was very clean, it was quiet and we slept well in the comfortable beds. In the cooler season it took a certain time for the temperature in the apartment to be pleasant. The folder with the information about the apartment and many suggestions for hikes and excursions in the area was very helpful for us. We can definitely recommend the apartment.

Sweet little accommodation with rustic charm in a fantastic, quiet location. The cottage corresponded in every respect to the description and convinces with a rustic feel-good atmosphere! Communication with the host went just as smoothly. Ideal for hikers and people who want a break in a picturesque place.

Wonderful stay with very accommodating hosts! The place is decorated with love and an eye for detail, and the surroundings are fantastic and quiet. We would love to be a guest at Mariapia's again anytime.

We had a few wonderful days in the charming Rustico in the forest. The stone houses are super cozy and very well equipped and maintained. You are right in nature and have your peace and quiet and at the same time are quickly on foot to the Maggia and Ponte Brolla. Fabiana was always super friendly and helpful and responded immediately. I highly recommend the place and we will be happy to come back!

The apartment is super nicely renovated and spacious. The place has a great garden. The surrounding area is very central and yet quiet. It offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Especially nice: there are lots of toys, books, etc. for the kids. There were bicycles (also for children) available free of charge. Petra is very likeable and welcomed us. The location is ideal to explore the Maggia Valley. Ascona and Locarno are also very close. We highly recommend the place🙂.

Very nice and quietly located loft with fantastic views of Lake Maggiore. Chri is a perfect and very nice hostess, very attentive and always easy to reach. We felt very comfortable from the start in the BriGa loft of Chri & Pat and would be happy to come back!

Our stay was very nice - the apartement was clean, roomy and well situated. The host greeted us kindly and was available for any question. We really enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful, cozy place with wonderful, friendly host. Apartment is exactly as described We enjoyed our weekend at their place and for sure we will go again.

We enjoyed the tranquility very much with Ursi and Enrico. The apartment is spacious and clean. A little 80s chic. The two put the dehumidifier into operation before our visit. Presumably this is good for fall and winter. The living room is a little dark, but there are 2 bright light sources to use that make this easily worthwhile. The kitchen is modern, everything works and everything you need is there, and this is in good quality. Beds good. A good night's sleep. Bathroom spacious, everything works very well. Good stay! Ps. Mega Large garden, certainly a dream in the spring and summer!!

Very special house! Original. Lots of art in the house. Stunning views. All the facilities available Clean. Quiet village. Pool was lovely given the high temperatures! Surroundings are beautiful. Lots of beautiful walks made. Bicycles rented at 3 minutes' walking distance. Very nice people. Speak Italian and a little french. Great bike ride for mountain bikes made from the house. Electric support necessary. Very friendly reception. Technical defect was resolved very adequately and quickly.

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Petraglio. The village is quaint, the house is spacious and well stocked and the view was breathtaking. We loved our base for the week. The kids had a football pitch and little playground 2 mins walk away, the village shop provided any necessities (incl local beer) and we had great living, diving and cooking spaces with spacious, rooms and comfortable beds. Etienne and Chantal were very helpful and it was a shame we had to leave before the village party started (someone knocked on our door to invite us to join them!). We had young children and grandparents and I can highly recommend a family holiday here - I wish we had more time there!

Maria is a super host! We were made to feel welcome. Also when we got unlucky with our car she helped us great. We had a great time! Which is what matters! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The house has stunning views over Locarno, Ascona and the lake. Wonderful for a few days off.

We enjoyed staying at Christina's place very much. If necessary, she was always there for us, but otherwise very discreet, hardly noticeable and visible even though she lives right next door. The large pool was great, except for the clearly audible duct traffic it was very quiet. There are many shops, Ponte Tresa and Lugano are quickly accessible and also in the village there are several easily accessible shopping opportunities within walking distance. Just great!! We stayed here the first time, but certainly not the last time. :-)

Truly an incredible place to spend a week. Lots to do and relax at such a beautiful home. Ivana made everything easy as well. We will never forget our time at this villa

The listing is very accurate, and the home was fantastic in a great location with a spectacular view. For a very reasonable charge, the pool was heated which made a big difference when the weather was cooler than hoped for. We were a family of 6, and there was plenty of space. Every detail seemed to have been thought through very well. We couldn’t have been happier!
