Vacation rentals in Little Grassy Lake

We had a great stay at this air bnb. The house was extremely clean and welcoming. The view was great and made you feel right at home. Lisa was a great host and would reccomend this to anyone that wanted to peaceful getaway.

The place was very private and peaceful within nature, without being too far outside of town. We loved hiking the surrounding areas in Shawnee national forest. Everything was as listed and was super easy to use and discover. Lots of room and beautiful scenery.

My Mom, sisters and I recently stayed at Dave and Sara's 'Lake of Egypt Hilltop Retreat' for a girls' weekend, and we had a great time! The cozy property has beautiful views of Lake of Egypt and it's really a serene setting. The accommodations were great for our group. We really loved the open-concept living and dining area where we were able to gather comfortably to chat, share meals, and relax after exploring the area. The fully equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze. We weren't able to fully enjoy the outdoor space with the deck and firepit due to the bitterly cold temps and rain, but we hope to be able to enjoy both during our next stay. The retreat's location was ideal, offering a peaceful escape while still being close (20-min drive) to plenty of activities. We loved exploring the nearby trails in Shawnee National Forest and some cute breakfast spot and antique shops. This was the perfect setting for quality time with my Mom and sisters. Dave's place was really great and we had plenty of room for our family, lots of amenities, and he left detailed instructions.

We arrived on Thanksgiving Day where almost everything was closed so you can imagine our surprise having Milk in the fridge so our daughter could have hot chocolate on a cold day when we arrived. The place was ready for us as we arrived. Even though it was cold we still enjoyed going outside by the lake for a little bit to enjoy the view and the lake. The house location was great, peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again, this time when it's warm and sunny so we can enjoy more of the outside lake life.

The Red Barn was a cozy and comfortable home. The location was perfect for what we needed; a quiet place and plenty of room.

Great place to stay for any occasion or getaway. Was very enjoyable and relaxing.

Phyllis was wonderful, kind, and inviting. check in and out was quick and painless. furniture is comfortable and she allows pets for a still reasonable price! plenty of space for the dogs to run and the place is perfectly placed far enough away from the hustle and bustle in town but close enough to run to the store if you need somrthing!

Bell is a great host, even though she wasn't able to meet with us she had another person ready to check us in and answer any questions that we had about the place. We had some issues with the guests above us not following rules, and even though Bell didn't have to, she called us personally to apologize about it. The view on the lake is beautiful, and the hot tub was relaxing. This place is a hidden gem in my opinion, and my fiancé and I will definitely be going back in the future. If you're looking for a romantic getaway from it all, this is the place for you.
