Sit outside watching the waves with a cosy fire on chilly evenings. Climb the oak library ladder and drift off to sleep to the sound of the sea. Curl up next to the log burner with a good book, or stroll along the beach to spot seabirds and seals.
“This place is a little gem. It is gorgeous. Small but cleverly designed. Stunning views to sea. Really romantic getaway and you can bring your dog who loved the garden. Would be lovely if as well as the hotel, the wee village had another wee restaurant within walking short distance. Nice touches like milk and a couple of beers left in the fridge. Thanks Caron. Jo, Dave and Corrie the Westie.”
This lovely well equipped 2 bedroom beachside home is a gem. A real home. “Rockpool” cozily nestles in the lower level . Sea views are not from inside but are in full view and in front of garden. The courtyard patio accesses directly to stone steps leading onto the beach below. Inside Rockpool there is a great Inglenook log fire to relax and warm on chilly evenings. ( Also centrally heated throughout.) Park on street / free car park close by. Freeview TV with inbuilt DVD player .
“We stayed here as a family of 3 (myself, my wife and our two year old son) and really enjoyed it. The location was perfect with it having direct access to the beach, we spent most of our time there. The beach wasn't too busy, it was clean and it went on for miles, so great for walks. We also did some day trips to Elie and Crail, it wasn't far so worked out perfectly for that too. The neighbours were also really friendly and made us, and our son, feel really at home. We met Russell (our host) on the day we arrived and he made sure we were settled in and offered us advice if we needed it. We would definitely recommend this venue and this location.”
The Wynd is situated in the middle of New Gilston country hamlet, stop at the red phone box and you have found us. We are 10 minutes from StAndrews and 2 minutes from the Peat Inn Restaurant. Overall, a good quality place to stay, close enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer yet secluded and private to relax.
“We cannot rave about this home enough. I wish we could have stayed longer, but this was just a short stay on our way up north. We are a family of 5 (three young children), and we have nothing but positive things to say! Everything about this home is thoroughly thought through to make guest feel as comfortable as possible!!”
