Lynne is truly the best host we’ve ever had. She welcomed us with a big smile, warmth, and kindness that instantly made us feel at home. The place is absolutely lovely, with breathtaking views, excellent bedding, and beautiful furniture. Everything was thoughtfully prepared,homemade muffins (they were amazing!), snacks, chocolates, and even asking for our milk and wine preferences! Her hospitality truly went above and beyond. Lynne made sure we had everything we needed and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. We left feeling relaxed and really appreciated the care she put into every detail. This is a very cozy, warm and unforgettable memory.Because Taoyue is in the first row of the excellent sea view coast, sitting on the balcony facing the harbor at 180 degrees, you can enjoy breakfast, use your phone, flip through magazines, etc. Plus the patient and considerate host couple made us feel at home. Thanks again to the couple for providing such a clean, tidy and comfortable stay.

Lovely stay, highly recommend Lil's place. The location is awesome, so relaxing, comfortable bed, everything you need for a great stay is provided, love there is a full size fridge, BBQ, washing machine and dryer amongst other essentials. Lil is very helpful and there is plenty of information about walks, where to go and what to see. Being able to walk across the road to the water each day was a bonus and the views from the unit are forever changing as the tides come and go and the sun rises and sets. Some days there are cattle next door at the fence. I highly recommend staying and will return in the near future.

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay. A lovely apartment with views of the water- we ate dinner every evening sitting on the patio enjoying the bay. The apartment itself was clean and very comfortable. Robyn was so helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area and on our forward journey. Always responsive and kind. Loved the personal touches such as fresh flowers and cookies. Wish we had organized things to stay longer. Thank you Robyn!

Had a lovely stay here and the views are amazing as you have the choice of making dinner on the barbecue, and enjoy the restful and peaceful surroundings and el fresco dining:-) Easy to stroll down and walk along the beach also.

The apartment is really spacious and well equipped with plenty of towels, a good kitchen and fruit, muesli and yoghurt for breakfast as well as different teas and coffee. Very clean, very tidy, very calm. Thank you so much for having us!

Lisa was so lovely, and we loved staying at her place. It was even better than the photos! An amazing kitchen for cooking, a pool, a spa, and spacious comfortable areas throughout made for the perfect getaway. Lisa was super friendly and helpful throughout, we would absolutely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the patio and open living space providing views of the Hauraki Gulf and Orewa beach. The shower had excellent water pressure. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked. Checkin/out was easy. Would stay here again!

Stunning week away over Easter. We arrived a few hours after a cyclone, which meant no power and water. Anneke was great with all communication about the situation. We chose to stay hoping the power would be back on soon. The next day it was. Meanwhile, Anneke bought us wine and coffee and then arranged a generator so we could shower and charge phones etc. Then we had six glorious days of sunshine with the odd shower. We love walking, so explored all the local walks in the booklets and info guide. Every afternoon we relaxed on the deck just watching the ocean and boats. We ended our days with an outdoor bath, which was Devine. Anneke was a wonderful host. A true legend. The Bach was beautiful, clean, new and private. Highly recommend.

Very friendly, very tidy well looked after property

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

Fabulous hosts, lovely accommodation. We stayed for three nights, and all loved it including our puppy. If we didn't have to be back home for things, we would've extended our stay by a couple more nights. I'm sure we will be back again though. Thanks for the lovely stay
