Good place to stay

This is a lovely self-contained house with three bedrooms and a living area around a central open air courtyard, it was perfect for us as a family of six. It's located in a residential area rather than with all the tourist lodgings along the river (which we really liked), but really easy walking distance to restaurants by the river. Only downside was proximity to a loud mosque for an early wake up! Yoyok was a wonderful, friendly host who helped us with everything. We had a great jungle trek to see orangutans nd tube down the river, and saw elephants at Tangkahan. Activities are quite expensive but I believe this is unavoidable as it's the same price for all visitors. We loved Bukit Lawang, thank you Yoyok!

Had a fantastic jungle Trek with Udin, seeing many monkeys and apes, local wildlife and plants. We had a beautiful view from the villa bacoly of nature, a rice farm and a mountain view. thanks so much for hosting!

Great stay at Michael's apartment! Michael is a great host who is always responsive and makes you feel welcome. With a speed of 800K/night for an apartment with two king beds, this is a great value that is hard to find in Medan these days. It is definitely cheaper & more spacious than booking two hotel rooms as well. The pool is crystal clear, and the location is excellent - surrounded by great restaurants including the newly opened Sushi Tei right nearby. Inside, the apartment is beautifully decorated with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel immediately comfortable. No doubt it deserves 5 stars - I will definitely be back! 👍🏻
