Vacation rentals with lake access in Lancashire

We stayed over Christmas, gorgeous house, didn’t need to use the car at all, very central location. Lyn was a great host, will definitely book again.

Great two day stay for our family of four. The place is right near Turf Moor in a clean and light area. The space is recently renovated and bright. And the host is very responsive to any needs that arise. Great stay. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at Pear Tree Cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful; so cozy and we just felt at home. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for the perfect weekend. Location was great too and we walked to Skipton along the canal which was so scenic. Cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Nick for having us.

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

It’s a wonderful experience staying here. It has best towels I have ever experienced, comparable to the top quality hotels. The e bedrooms suits us very well. We also spend a lot of time in the kitchen and dining area, eating and working. I also give high remarks on the interior finishes style. And many others, including some tasty biscuits prepared for us.

I visited with some friends and it was the perfect peaceful break we needed. We can’t wait to visit again! The place is decorated beautifully and our stay was very comfortable.

The perfect accommodation for our group trip to Lancaster - had everything a group needs for a short stay and more. Ray and Sue were amazing hosts, extremely accommodating and helpful. Plenty of parking, well stocked kitchen, would definitely stay here again, thank you!

We had a lovely few days staying here. The flat is in an ideal location within the town, with easy parking, lovely shops, pubs and cafes! The flat was well equipped and communication with the owner was good. A perfect little getaway!

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Slightly smaller than expected but have everything you need. Within walking distance of restaurants and amenities. Car parking is available but spaces are limited although on-street parking is an option (fees apply). Overall, an enjoyable stay. Jo is very responsive and quick to resolve any issues.

I met both Erik and Julie during my stay; they were welcoming, friendly, helpful and great hosts. Their studio is immaculately presented, comfortable, homely with thoughtful additional touches. Probably my best Airbnb experience. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you to you both

Beautiful spacious apartment, with every need perfectly catered for. From the coffee machine to the keyless entry (great idea) to parking. Comfy beds. Large rooms. Location is great, easy walking to everything in town and perfect to explore further afield. Communication brilliant. Perfect.

This is a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. John was very accommodating regarding our late arrival and the cottage was easy to find and exactly as described. The cottage is very characterful and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The garden is beautiful and very private. Thank you John, we’ve had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at The Grange Lodge for 4 nights in April 2025 (family of four). An absolutely lovely and peaceful place. Secluded. Quiet. Patrick was a great host. Check in was seamless (as was check out). The place was clean, bright and had everything we needed. Zero issues. Hot tub was obviously popular with the kids. Booths superstore was a 5 mins drive (have everything that you would want) and the town centre of Kirkby Lonsdale was the same distance. Could easily plan our days out from the home as it was pretty much where the Lake District begins and it truly felt like home base. Don’t give it a seconds thought…book the place! Plan your days out in the Lake District knowing that when you come back to the Lodge, you’ll recharge yourselves for the next day! 5 stars all around!

Beautiful place to stay, stayed for 2 weeks, wished it could have been longer. It was perfect, tranquil and just what I needed.

Sam’s place was absolutely lovely! The beds were super comfortable, and having Netflix available in both rooms was a nice. The shower had amazing pressure, which we really appreciated, and Sam provided multiple sets of towels that easily lasted us the whole weekend. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the included park pass made our stay better, no stress about getting a ticket. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we’d definitely come back!

Wow what an incredible stay! This is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at, and easily my favorite so far. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. Every part of the property from the cozy bedroom to the charming dining room, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful gardens was thoughtfully maintained and welcoming. We stayed in the Hermitage Cottage, which overlooks the river, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hot tub was ready for us on arrival, which was such a treat. One of the highlights was the peaceful walk around the island, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river flowing pure serenity. Jerry was the perfect host his clear instructions made everything easy and ensured we had a super comfortable and relaxing stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon, hopefully for a much longer visit. It’s the perfect getaway.

The cottage is rustic and idyllic, surrounded by beautiful countryside, trees and nearby lake. The dawn chorus woke us up every morning, and the pigs came to say hello. The cottage has everything you need, and is clean, warm and cosy. As the cottage is at the end of the lane it is very quiet and private, with only a few walkers passing by the front window, but no car traffic at all. We enjoyed sitting out the front eating our breakfast, or going down to the lake later on. The only downside was the mattress needs replacing as a spring has broken, there were a few cobwebs, and there were a lot of harlequin ladybirds, however, this added to the charm of the place. Having Gait Barrows NNR, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve and other fabulous places on the doorstep was great, we are nature lovers and saw otter, deer, avocet and heard booming bittern. Overall, we loved our stay and are already looking into when we can come back again, thank-you very much for an amazing holiday! From Ruth and Ben

The lake house is absolutely stunning. Very open plan and spacious which we loved. Lovely view of the lake and very private. Cosy of a nighttime with the fire on. Was nicely heated. Never too hot or too cold. Had all the amenities we needed to cook. Hot tub was fabulous. The property was well looked after and extremely clean. We had a lovely welcome hamper which we appreciated so much! The only qualms we had was that the glasses were quite dirty so had to re wash those, there was a strange smell in the downstairs en suite bathroom when we arrived, it smelt like stale damp sewage, it improved slightly but never really went away. The bed was also extremely firm so back ached a lot in the morning (however that is personal preference, I do personally sleep on soft beds better) thank you for a wonderful stay. It really was beautiful! Xx
