The rooftop deck is a standout feature, perfect for relaxing in the breeze. Patrick was incredibly attentive throughout our stay and prepared some truly delicious meals. While it was a little tricky at first to find our way to and from the house (it's set slightly back from the shore), we quickly got the hang of it. The neighborhood is genuine and friendly, and the house itself is impressively well equipped. Highly recommended for a stay that feels both restful and rooted in the local area.

We had such a wonderful stay at Awham’s place, even more beautiful than in the photos! The rooms are spacious with an incredible terrace. On our first night, we experienced an unexpected power outage, leaving us without lights or fans in the heat. Although this was completely out of Awham’s control, everything was quickly resolved by mid-morning, and the host even offered us an extra tour of Lamu Town to make up for it. We will definitely be booking again! If you're looking for a great guide and captain, Awham’s cousin Dula is the perfect choice. Thank you again — can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful Swahili Villa apartment! Very much in Old City and the locals we met were kind in helping us navigate around the Island to Sheila Beach, Manda Beach, and for a sunset Dhow ride! The apartment was comfortable and an easy walk. Make sure to save the location as the name is not on Google maps!

Abdillah was patient and waited for me even though I arrived late by bus. He made me feel at home by taking me on an evening walk around Lamu and showing me great places to eat. He also recommended a reliable captain who took me to Takwa Island and Jaluo Village at a fair price. I truly enjoyed my short holiday in Lamu thanks to Abdillah. If I visit Lamu again, this is definitely a place I will consider staying at.

Tarik was a great host, property was just like the photos. He gave us options of how to arrive at the accommodation and we chose the one with an assisted guide to make finding the place a lot easier/faster, plus check-in was quick, painless & flexible. It's in a great location and although not found if navigating via Google maps, it is very easy to find. Plenty of restaurants, little stores and chemists nearby if needed. The place was very clean and quiet with the downstairs pool very clean. The oversized chair in the living room can also double as an extra bed for parties with an extra individual. The wifi is good, the staff is great (they cleaned up midweek during our stay and also helped get rid of a massive spider at my request). Tarik was also great at recommending who we needed to contact for things such as getting around or signing up for activities such as the sunset sail or snorkeling day trip. Other than a minor issue already raised with Tarik, I highly recommend.

i went to Shela to have some quiet days after a few crazy weeks and Abdillah's place was the perfect spot. i spent countless hours on the balcony reading with a breathtaking view. for my budget I don't think I could have found a better place. the appartment is extremely well situated in the village, few meters away from any restaurants, docks and beach. their is no hot water in the shower but it didn't bother me at all as it is so warm. i would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Lamu and looking for something simple and confortable. Abdillah was the perfect host, he was very kind and caring. He arranged my transfer from the airport and walked me around the village to show me grocery stores, restaurants, shop and activities.

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful house in the middle of Shela ! Chris was so helpful and flexible! 100% recommended!

It really wonderful experience. place is beautiful, clean and easy to accece. Checked-in was very smooth. Ladies came to the beach to pick us also carried all the laggages. I'll come back the place and reccomend to stay.
