Cottage vacation rentals in Lake Livingston

was a nice quite place to stay. would definitely consider revisiting.

As soon as we entered the driveway, you could feel the stress just melt away. The Chirping Cottage sits on a very nice sized lot in a very private setting among beautiful tall trees, which lends to lots of wonderful shade. The home is very roomy, casual and comfortable. We loved and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning drinking our coffee, and in the evenings we enjoyed sitting down by the river and out on the pier watching the sunset, with an adult beverage in hand. We’ll definitely be visiting this place again in the Fall/Winter, when we can take advantage of the fire pit and hot tub. A big thanks to Donna, a wonderful host of this wonderful property.

Kim's home is as homely as one could ever feel like. The home is as genuine and authentic and real as Kim is. The experience was more unbelievable and amazing than we ever could've hoped for. I'll never pay to stay anywhere else in East Texas from now on. No other place could have been a better match, than Kim's, for my love for Lake Livingston and the East Texas area.

We had a great time at the cottage. Suited our needs to accommodate all the kids and give us a perfect home base as we visited Willis and Houston. Thanks for the stay, it was smooth from check in to check out!

Wonderful weekend! There was so much to do. Everything you could possibly need or want.

This is such a lovely, peaceful lake house and one of the best AirBnb experiences I’ve had. It was very welcoming and they even had toiletries, coffee, creamer and sugar available for guests, and everything in the kitchen was labeled for convenience, which was a nice surprise. The check in and check out instructions were so easy. The house is right on the dock and the neighborhood is lovely with lots of deer. You will not be disappointed!

Peaceful and cozy. Host was great, she was very responsive and helpful.

Great little cottage. The park that it is in has particular rules however it’s understandable. Parking is very tight and we had to park the multiple vehicles in the parking area away from the cottage. Also, there’s a $10 a day per car parking fee for each day you stay.

This cottage was extremely comfortable for my husband, daughter, and me. It was easy to relax and we had plenty of space. The host was extremely on the ball and made sure our stay was relaxing!! We will definitely stay there again when we go back to RenFest.

My husbands wish for his 40th birthday was to get away from the city for some R&R so I was super excited about this spot! It was everything that he wanted and it for sure surpassed my expectations! The home is beautiful, clean, well kept, and filled with most basic amenities, games, and more! The grounds are well kept. Because of the isolated location I feared pesky pest but did not have any issues at all! If you’re looking for tranquility with a short drive to town for dinner, drinks, fishing, etc I highly recommend this location! Can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful time in Jose's cabin on the river. Although, it is a little rough and rugged it was great, the kids enjoyed it. They loved going to the pool, the river, hiking through the woods, and fishing all of it. They stayed so busy I practically only saw them when they were hungry. Me personally I love how quiet and quiet it was. I would definitely stay again. Now there are a few things that I would would suggest to make it more appealing and easier to access. The house is on a very steep hill and would benefit from some kind of steps maybe cut into the side of the hill. The driveway is very steep and needs to be more level. Also, the couch could really use an upgrade the seats are broken down and it makes it harder to get up from. A pantry in the kitchen for guests to put groceries. As well as one on the back patio, to store fishing gear and floats because the wind from the river blow them down the hill constantly. Fixing the road coming in would be great. Awesome vacation.

Great place to stay for our Thanksgiving getaway!

Tyra was a wonderful host! We very much enjoyed staying at her guest home with our kiddos. There was a beautiful view of the lake right across the road, it was a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, and all the amenities needed for our 3 big kids and 2 babies! Thanks for having us!

Very cute, many thoughtful touches, convenient for visiting the state park. Some traffic noise so light sleepers may want some ear plugs

Well used space. Easy fit for 10 if majority are children I would say. Few spider webs especially on the patio which I had to clean which was no big deal until I got stung by wasp from wasp nest under one of the balcony chairs. Husband sprayed nest so I hope better for next guest. I stayed here 2 years ago and must say maintenance was better at that time in surrounding area pool, grass, community over all. bait shop now closed on premises (don’t fret a bait shop is within driving distance) In the home the upkeep is very good. Stocked with the essentials. Nice stay

My husband and I booked so that we could go to ren faire. This stay is a true hidden gem. it was peaceful and quiet which was very nice after a fun day at TRF. the furniture was comfortable and even though it was chilly outside it was so warm and toasty inside. absolutely would book again!

We had a fantastic trip! The house was amazing! It was walking distance to the water which was so great they had tables and BBQ pits we didn’t utilize them but they were in a great spot! The fire pit was amazing we made s’mores and were able to light a nice fire. There was also games in the garage! Croquet and corn hole with lots of room in the front yard to play games and enjoy the space. It was a 20 minute drive to Livingston state park. The rooms were cozy and everything was so detailed and homey we absolutely loved our weekend stay.

We had a wonderful stay with family at Melissa’s place! The check in code was tricky but she straightened it out quickly. The pool ended up being closed for repairs the day after we arrived so she even offered an alternative for us! Was a sweet spot, very clean and beautiful lake view. Had everything we needed and then some! 2 ceiling fans (one in one out) didn’t work but it was very pleasant without them. Was a nice respite from the busyness of town and would definitely stay there again!! Thanks for the space for our family Melissa!!
