At Refúgio Alambari, the forest embraces you! Our rustic cabin, with stone walls and a tropical atmosphere, is in the middle of an Environmental Protection Area – no neighbors, only the Atlantic Forest and its biodiversity. Arriving is already an experience: a short trail (100m) takes you to this paradise with a private hot tub, sauna and deck. If you feel like a dip, the Alambari River is right there! A unique retreat to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself, in a way that only Serrinha can!

The space
The cabin is ideal for 2 people, but it is possible to adapt it to accommodate up to 3. There is a single room upstairs, with a queen bed and balcony overlooking the valley of the Alambari River. On the ground floor we have a room integrated with the kitchen, bathroom and bathroom. The entire accommodation is surrounded by a 360º deck for the Serrinha do Alambari Environmental Protection Area. On the outside we have a large deck with ofurô (hot water), a sauna (wood-burning) and a table for 4 people under a covered gazebo. A refuge for those who need silence, calm and reconnection. We do not recommend the cabin for children due to the height of the property and the risks inherent in the deck.

Guest access
The Serrinha do Alambari APA is a well-preserved and rustic neighborhood of Resende - RJ, practically between the two major Brazilian capitals: São Paulo (approx. 3h) and Rio de Janeiro (approx. 2h30min).

Despite being a neighborhood immersed in a tropical forest, access is generally easy. From the Serrinha portico or portal, you will travel about 20 min/30 min by car to the property. Much of this path has blocks and another part is dirt, with some paved sections. Rest assured, a popular car will easily reach the location.

Refúgio Alambari is located on a private property, on the same grounds as another accommodation, also available for rent on Airbnb: Refúgio das Juçaras.

Despite this, the accommodations are isolated from each other, including with different parking lots and different accesses.

Access to the cabin is from the back of the Alambari Refuge, on a signposted path that takes you to the beginning of a small trail. After booking, I'll share more details about this access.

In short, there is a 100m path through the woods, well-marked, illuminated and intuitive, that takes you to the cabin.

As the car does not reach the door of the Alambari Refuge, unlike conventional accommodation, we recommend that you bring backpacks instead of suitcases and do not overdo the amount of clothes and belongings.

Other things to note
YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1) Access to the cabin is via a small, clean, well-marked and illuminated trail. There is a garage inside the property where you can leave up to 2 cars. From that point on, it takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the cabin. Don't worry, access is easy, but it's always preferable to arrive in daylight. If it's not possible, no problem, I'll give you all the support so you have no doubts.

2) We recommend that you carry your belongings in a backpack instead of the traditional wheeled suitcase. As you will need to walk a little to the Alambari Refuge, it will be much more practical and comfortable to carry everything in a backpack. Can you imagine dragging your suitcase over rocks, dirt and roots? Better not...

3) The cabin is on the same property as Refúgio das Juçaras, a larger, older and more conventional house. Rest assured, the accommodations are separated by a good stretch of forest, ensuring your privacy and tranquility. You may run into other guests from the other accommodation in the common areas of the grounds, such as at the property entrance, on the trail, or by the river.

4) The house has a refrigerator, stove, water filter, kitchen utensils and the entire structure of a house that is not in the middle of the forest, lol. However, if you want to know something specific, don't hesitate to ask!
