Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Welcome to Wild Brumby Retreat Tawonga South, neighbouring the beautiful town of Mount Beauty and set at the foot hills to Falls Creek over looking Mount Bogong. Our retreat has been thoughtfully set up to accommodate a relaxing weekend away for couples to comfortably hosting a family of 5. With a fully equipped kitchen, seperate cooking facilities for those with Coeliacs disease(GLUTEN FREE), 55" TV & PS4, Free WiFi, 2 bedrooms(sleeps 5), games, books and much more your next stay has it all..

The space
Our 2 bedroom home is new, modern, thoughtfully equipped and located in the peaceful surrounds of Tawonga South. All furniture from
Bedding to the dining table to the cookware is all brand new. Our focus when setting up Wild Brumby Retreat was to provide a safe, cosy and affordable place for all to go. Every little detail from the lighting to the decor
(minimalistic) has been considered due to our own personal needs for our eldest son who has Autism. Being a small family(2 boys) we also know the inherent "risk" of breakables(yes our two have done their fair share of breakages) and we know as parents it's one now less thng to worry about while trying to just unwind and enjoy a holiday. But it has also helped to make our little retreat something unique in what else we try to provide for all by making it a relaxed and less cluttered environment(again this is great for people on the spectrum-less stimuli).
We hope you enjoy your stay

Other things to note
Check-in may be available on the day earlier than 4pm(and usually is). This is in place to allow our cleaning team ample time between their bookings to manage the sufficiently. You will be notified ASAP of the property being right to check-in if prior to 4pm.
Thank you for your understanding :-)

***Updated as of the 1/4/25***
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
We do not provide/consent this service for you to charge your electric vehicle at our property. In the same regard we do not pay for guests fuel/gas/diesel usage please respect this. We do have electricity usage trackers in place and can easily see what has been used. Our maximum general power usage is 30kWh/day and we monitor this. The rate for purposely exceeding this and ignoring said request will be charged at a rate of $5/kWh to hopefully deter this issue.
If this alone for your stay is something unappealing or something you cannot abide by please we advise seeking alternative accommodation.
Thank you for those that understand 💚

We have provided beach towels for guest to use outside of the property however these are to remain on property when checking out.

There is full washing/drying facilities &
Dishwasher provided in our home.

Tea(assortment), coffee(pod machine and instant), hot chocolate(gluten free), sugar & milk.

We have the added bonus of having Impact Massage directly next door, so after a long hard day at the snow, cycling, walking you can walk a few step and let Scooter work his magic to have you feeling ready to tackle the next days adventures.

As a fellow coeliac, I know the importance of the disease and the fear of staying somewhere only to have to take your own cooking equipment. This has been taken out of the equation when staying with us, we have a dedicated Gluten Free cupboard set up with pots, pans, toaster, sandwich press and chopping board for you to use. ***only those with coeliacs disease will have access to this cupboard upon check-in, please respect this as cross contamination for us is quite serious***. Please send me a message when booking with us and I will note if access is required.

Regards
Nathan

Tawonga South/Mount Beauty is nothing short of breathe taking. Peaceful yet it hold so so much beauty and things to see and do your stay with us will certainly leave you wanting to come back for more as there is always something you didn't get to do.
Look around at all the amazing photography in our home.....it is all local hot spots from Pebble Beach Walk to Fainter Falls(on the way to Falls Creek).

Big Hill Mountain Bike Park has something for most abilities and bike hire can be sought through Rocky Valley Bikes & Snow Sports(hire & sales for bikes and snow gear as well as servicing) Please let Brian and the team know i referred you

Falls Creek Snow Fields - snowboarding, skiing, kids areas, taboggins and epic snow ball fights what else does it need??? come back and stay in the warmer months and find out that it's not only a premier snow destination but has so much more to offer

Motor Enthusiest are nothing short of spoilt for places to travel on some ofthe best and most scenic roads Victoria has to offer! Make a day or weekend of it and do a few different routes - Wild Brumby Retreat to Myrtleford for a cuppa, across to Bright for lunch (tomahawks is our go to) venture for a run up to Mt Buffalo and back then tackle the Tawonga Gap whilst stopping to take in the view of the Bogong Mountain before returning home for a comfortable night in. The run over Falls Creek to Omeo and back is truly something else and an absolute must do... pack a picnic and pull up on the mitta mitta river for a break. Bring the swimmers in warmer months and have a swim(be aware ofthe current) or throw a line in and try to catch a trout to throw on the BBQ for dinner.

Wineries are abundant in the Alpine and Kiewa Valley and you could easily spend an entire weekend hoping between the wine trail.

Adventerous? try throwing a kayak in the river/creek in both tawonga or bright, Give hang-gliding a go or hit up Bogong Horseback Adventures for a full day in the saddle

Mount Beauty info centre is just 1.4kms down the road from your stay please visit for more things to see and do :-)
