Our home is nestled in the heart of Costa Rica's beautiful tropical environment, surrounded by lush vegetation and incredible wildlife. Staying here means experiencing nature in its most authentic form.

As with any home in a tropical setting, you may occasionally see insects, geckos, frogs, butterflies, birds, monkeys, or other native wildlife around the property. While we take great care to keep the house clean and well maintained, nature is an important part of the experience and cannot be completely separated from the environment.

We love sharing this unique setting with our guests and hope you'll enjoy the beauty and sounds of the rainforest as much as we do. If you're looking for a true tropical experience, we think you'll feel right at home.

Cahuita is a district of Costa Rica, located in the province of Limón.
It is located on the Caribbean coast. Surrounded by beaches and tropical forest.
Cahuita is the meridian between the black volcanic sands of Playa Negra and the quartz-paved beaches of Playa Blanca. The Yin and Yang of its beaches, coupled with Creole and Spanish culture, have developed the community over the past decade from a laid-back fishing village to a vibrant tourist destination.

It is an authentic village, a peaceful bubble that lives in slow motion. On the edge of its National Park, a setting with exceptional nature, Cahuita enjoys an idyllic location. A few steps are enough to swim in a celestial setting or dive into a living and abundant forest. The beautiful beaches still extend in the vicinity, up to the Manzanillo Reserve. If you like exoticism and nature, you will love this region a little apart.

In Cahuita, life moves at a slower pace than in the nearby town of Puerto Viejo, with locals mingling downtown as smoke from wood-fired kitchens spills Caribbean spices of jerk chicken and freshly caught lobster through the unpaved streets. Absorbing the local attitude, visitors spend their days spreading blankets on the beach while soaking up the sun; swim in the waves, snorkel among coral reefs and walk through the coastal forest of Cahuita National Park.

A visit to Cahuita isn't complete until you've hiked through the national park and snorkeled along its reef, but visitors can also swim along Playa Blanca, surf along Playa Negra, and go horseback riding along Playa Grande.
Birdwatching is popular from September to October, when millions of poultry migrate to Costa Rica to escape the North American winter. Visitors can also take part in cultural hikes in the Bribri.
