At the end of a hamlet, Boa Vista is a bright semi-troglodyte shepherd’s cottage: stone, wood, terracotta tiles… and rock right into the bathroom. A green haven with total peace, a sheltered terrace and a wraparound balcony. In summer: private above-ground pool and outdoor shower. Naturally cool in summer, cosy by the wood stove in winter. Beaumes is about 3 km away.
“A mineral cocoon to slow down and recharge.”
The space
As our guests often say:
“Thoughtful décor blending vintage objects and furniture creates a warm, typically Provençal atmosphere.”
Boa Vista is a former semi-troglodyte shepherd’s cottage, partly carved into the rock, located on the ground floor of Mas Alta Vista (same site). Carefully renovated (terracotta tiles, stone, wood), it’s a rare, soothing place—far from standard accommodation.
Views & outdoor space
From the home: views over the valley, vineyards, Saint-Hilaire chapel and the terraced garden.
From the hamlet: you can also see the Dentelles de Montmirail.
Enjoy a wraparound balcony and a shaded/covered terrace with a stone bar—perfect in summer—plus an outdoor shower.
In warm season: a dedicated above-ground pool by the terrace to cool off.
Interior & amenities
A unique atmosphere mixing rock, stone and wood, with beautiful natural light.
Fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, oven, microwave, induction hob, Nespresso + stone counter/bar
Living room: sofa, TV, Wi-Fi, wood stove (winter)
Bedroom: 160 cm bed (premium comfort) + valley/vineyard view
Bathroom: set into the rock, walk-in shower + WC (unusual and memorable)
Summer / winter comfort
No air conditioning needed: the rock and thick walls keep the home naturally cool in summer (and mild in winter).
In winter, Boa Vista becomes a true cocoon: wood stove, soft light on stone, a blanket… and a good local wine.
Firewood & stove (October to March)
Please bring at least one bundle of 33 cm logs for arrival (or bring your own).
Firewood can also be provided for an extra fee, on request.
