Welcome to Elephant View Cottage, a peaceful farm stay between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna. Enjoy views of elephants and zebra in the neighbouring Knysna Elephant Park, meet our farm animals, and relax in nature just 10 minutes from beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops. Travelling with family or friends? We also offer Hydrangea Cottage on the farm. Together the two cottages can accommodate up to 9 guests.

The space
The main bedroom has a queen bed, while the guest bedroom offers twin beds — perfect for families or friends. The bathroom includes a shower, loo, and basin, plus complimentary handmade soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The living area features a sleeper couch and a 6-seater dining table. Cook with ease using the oven, hob, microwave, Nespresso machine, full-size fridge, bar fridge, and more.

The cottage forms the ground level of a two-storey home. The upper level is separately occupied.

Guests have private and exclusive use of the entire ground-floor cottage, including all indoor and outdoor areas allocated to it. There are no shared spaces or amenities, ensuring a peaceful and fully private stay.

Relax in the sunny reading room or step out onto the deck with a 6-seater table, two loungers, and a gas braai. The large, private garden offers sweeping views of elephants and zebras at Knysna Elephant Park — a truly unforgettable backdrop.

Lives in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa
After spending too much time in Johannesburg, the family and I decided to move to a homestead in the Western Cape. After spending almost 4 years looking for our dream spot, we found Elephant View. With breathtaking views of the Elephant Park, we are also able to farm chickens, sheep and even have bee hives! We are working towards getting cows too. If you are thinking of starting your own homestead, come and spend some time on ours!
