It also has a train station with Intercity connection. Alkmaar and Central Amsterdam is 20 minutes away. Cafes and restaurants are widely available in beautiful Castricum. A large shopping mall and supermarkets are open 7 days.

Waterfront B&B

A wonderful stay! The waterfront cottage is located near various amenities. A nice shopping center. The train station is a 10-minute walk, so you can be in Amsterdam in 20 minutes and in Zaanse Schans in 15 minutes. The beach, Volendam and Alkmaar are all a short distance away. You have to take care of breakfast yourself, but for delicious sandwiches you can go to the local bakery, which is within walking distance. Upon arrival, you will find various drinks in the fridge. In short, a wonderful stay!

Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is, among other things, a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eatery Giovanni Midwoud that also delivers. A motorboat is available for a fee. Located on the central village square of the beautiful village of Ilpendam, our large house with a modern and luxuriously furnished studio is on the ground floor. Ilpendam is a picturesque village near Amsterdam, in 10 minutes you can be at Amsterdam Central Station by bus. You have a view of the garden and the adjacent park with butterfly garden and playground. Parking is free in front of the door.
