If you love nature and want to really switch off, the cabin is an absolute insider tip! Due to a small snowshoe hike to the cabin in winter is included and really beautiful. The snowshoes and sledges were all ready for us at the parking lot, and we could easily follow the path of the snowmobile to the cabin. The cabin is very cozy, a central fireplace heats up quickly. We spent cozy evenings by the fireplace and in the candlelight. And then our stay was crowned with the stunning northern lights. All in all a lovely stay and wonderful to leave all the stress behind.

The house was nice , warm and cozy. Feel like home. The location was great. Just 3 mins to supermarket and 3 mins to Sweden. The view was breathtaking. Amazing

We felt very comfortable. The house is comfortably and cozily furnished. The fantastically located and equipped sauna house is shared with the owners, which is absolutely no problem. The whole property is well maintained and is beautifully located on a large lake. The view over the lake with northern lights is unforgettable. Exceptionally friendly landlords who go the extra mile. Jukka gave us very good tips for the area. We will be happy to come back.

very good, tranquil stay

We absolutely loved it! The cabin is totally homely and invites you to cozy games afternoons in front of the flickering oven. The kitchen is well equipped, even basic food such as flour, tea, various Spices, pasta, rice, etc. were available. Not unimportant if the nearest supermarket is 70km away. The lake is less than a five minute walk away, a perfect spot to look at the aurora lights. Unobstructed view in all directions, as far as the clouds allow ;-) No noteworthy light pollution in the area, a dream. Tero recommended various activities on request, so we met Janne, the reindeer in Unari. This was truly a special experience to stand among hundreds of reindeer who have been fuming around the food like wild. We felt like we were in an animal documentary;-) So if you like it secluded, this is the place to be:-D

The cottage is well located if you want to be alone. 8km from the nearest road. It's right by a lake. The communication with Johanna is great and very friendly. The place was clean. Easy to reach by car.

My stay at Taistos house was absolutely perfect! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and fully equipped – the kitchen had everything needed for cooking. The private sauna was a highlight and provided pure relaxation. The view was breathtaking, and I was lucky enough to see stunning Northern Lights right from the accommodation. An unforgettable experience! I highly recommend Taisto and would love to come back anytime.

The place is so beautiful ! Exactly as described. To be noted that access isn't easy without a cross country vehicle when the snow is melting. There are slopes which were quite hard and stressful to climb. The place is perfect to tune out, with a magnificent view. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

What a gem of an apartment, it has been absolutely perfect for our stay. Great location if travelling by foot and public transport, close to attractions but then tranquil when by the river. When we arrived the apartment was warm and cosy with the Christmas lights on, and Santa had left a gift for the children. The apartment had everything we needed, and more, it was clean and well presented. Excellent communication, from booking and during our stay, with lots of useful information and clear instructions.

The place is well located away from any light pollution perfect for observing the northern lights. A sauna is available. Very pleasant stay.

This is such an unique place. The landscape, the jacuzzi, the sauna with a view, reindeers around the cottage and Northern lights right in front of the door. Everything was just perfect.

An exceptional stay! The location is perfect—close to the main town yet nestled in a peaceful, private setting. The house is impeccably clean, with a very comfortable interior, and the bed and pillows are of outstanding quality. The amenities were top-notch. The jacuzzi and sauna were spotless and easy to use, and having our own ice pool was an absolute highlight! The view of the northern lights from the lakeside location was simply unparalleled—hands down the best spot to witness this natural wonder. The cottage matched the description, was well-equipped, and tidy.

We had an amazing stay at the Yurt District for the first night of our trip. We absolutely loved it here! The yurt was really cosy and warm. The showers and toilets were really clean and only a 10 second walk from the yurt. The only negative was that we didn’t stay here for longer!! We will definitely be returning next time we come to Finland, it really is an unforgettable experience here! Thank you for having us 🤩

The Lapland Nest that lives up to its name. Beautiful old furniture, dishes festive. Easy to live, no steps.

This is an ideal place to stay in Lapland. It is 20 mins drive from the airport and Santa Clause visit, so easy to reach, but also in a very quiet and idyllic location. The host is very friendly and always easy to contact. I took my daughters (8 and 11) and they loved it, especially the sledging around the cabin. Also a great spot to see the northern lights.

Nice place to stay with the family or a small group.of friends. 10 minutes walk over the frozen lake and we were able to see (dim) northern lights. Jukka was very kind to us.

A truly unique & alternative experience away from the more touristy/gimmicky options in Lapland. Teemu is an amazing host & made sure we had the perfect stay. When we arrived, he welcomed us with a warm fire, a snow-chilled bottle of champagne & an evening sleigh ride down the frozen river. When we didn’t have plans, he gave us local suggestions & made phone calls on our behalf. His adventures/experiences were also so much fun & we would highly recommend booking at least one dinner as well as his privately guided snowmobile trip. Teemu is a fantastic chef and we greatly enjoyed a 3 course salmon meal in the cozy & pleasantly decorated dinner cabin. The snowmobile ride is worth the price considering you get a 4hour trip across Teemu’s expansive private land & away from the public trail network. Lunch & photography also included. This is one of our favorite Airbnb’s to date & the pictures don’t do it justice. Our stay surpassed all expectations. Very happy we booked!

Our stay at Arcticmint was an incredible experience, the peaceful and picturesque location on a lakeshore was mesmerising. The villa was beautifully appointed and spacious with all the comforts one could need but the star of the stay was our host Jaana, who was so caring, funny and dedicated to making our stay perfect, part of the reason we booked and we were so right in that decision. With experiences such as a delicious Finnish dinner cooked in front of us (whilst we we popping out to look at The Northern Lights) to forest skiing with her brother-in-law Kyle who runs ArcticFox adventures and had such an amazing aspect and passion for nature and the environment, to accompanying us on our snowmobile tour, Jaana was there making it exceptional. Every box was ticked on this Finnish adventure we could not have wished for more.

Jurko and maikku are very friendly and helpful, always answer our questions promptly (i might ask too many questions too but they are very helpful). The house is super lovely and beautiful. We are able to see northern lights during our stay and it is very clear. I asked jurko whether i need to book aurora hunting and he kindly informed us no need since the house location is already good for aurora sightings. And he was very right! We can admire the aurora from our room. Jurko even provides us with lots of amenities, beverages and snacks which is very thoughtful. We are very satisfied , great hospitality. If we ever come back to rovaniemi we will definitely stay in jurko’s place again. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant and memorable.
