Great stay at Esa's. The place is authentic and peaceful. We were delighted to fetch the water from the river, light a good fireplace, and enjoy the surrounding nature. The sauna is a must: we loved enjoying it in the evening and spot the northern lights as we left the sauna. The place has everything you need for a good time in the area. Esa welcomed us very warmly and explained all the specifics of the accommodation. Snowshoes ( adults and even children) and sleds were available for strolling around the area. It was perfect, thank you so much Esa.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin has all what you need for a comfortable life and the outdoor sauna was our favorite. We had some exciting activities with Mauri and loads of fun with him in the nature on cold winter days. We will be back next season :)

Lovely wilderness cottage with stunning scenery and reindeer in the yard to admire. Big lakeside sauna and stunning lake view. Good blankets and pillows. The refrigerator was unclean, but it wasn't needed on a short trip. The sounds of a car from the road are inside, there are no hippies.

Beautiful place in winter time, magical silence around. I spent here only one night, so I didn't have the possibility to try all the facilities (for example the sauna, the stove), but everything looked good. Laura was very helpful to offer her help if I couldn't start my car the next morning (as it was -30°C), and also flexible with check-in time. I'd love to spend more time here next time.

We had a lovely week at this place. The environment is very quiet. The house is spacious and comfortable. The view is clear to observe the northern lights when they are there. Kalle is very responsive when needed. In summary: ideal for enjoying the Lappish winter in nature without tourists!

If you love nature and want to really switch off, the cabin is an absolute insider tip! Due to a small snowshoe hike to the cabin in winter is included and really beautiful. The snowshoes and sledges were all ready for us at the parking lot, and we could easily follow the path of the snowmobile to the cabin. The cabin is very cozy, a central fireplace heats up quickly. We spent cozy evenings by the fireplace and in the candlelight. And then our stay was crowned with the stunning northern lights. All in all a lovely stay and wonderful to leave all the stress behind.

We spent our honeymoon in this beautiful cottage. Marja was always responsive, whether before the trip for preparation or during the stay. She recommended many places to us and we were never disappointed! As for the cottage, it is perfect, comfortable and functional (apart from the absence of a shower). It is well arranged and the nature around is magical. The listing photos are good but the cottage is even better in real life! It was a really wonderful week that will have marked us forever.

We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) and had a great time. The accommodation was perfect for us, the sauna and use of the snow shoes in the shed were an added bonus. The location was unreal, I can only think of positives, thank you Juha for making our trip to Finland so memorable!

Great log cabin, especially for friends of traditional style. The common areas are large and comfortable, some of the bedrooms are rather small, but completely sufficient for one person (and therefore for our requirements). The communication with Jon was smooth and the answers always came very quickly and guest-friendly. I can really recommend the house. It was a pity that the grill was not cleaned (we then waived grilling) and some residue from the previous residents could also be seen in the kitchen. But these are minor criticisms. If Kilpisjärvi becomes our destination again in a few years, this accommodation is certainly an option for us again.

We travelled as a family with 2 children, we had an amazing time and felt very comfortable at Marko's home which was lovely inside. We took full advantage of the sauna, the hot tub and the bbq tent! Thank you Marko!

What a wonderful place ! We felt right at home at in our cozy hut right at the lake :) Overall it felt like a truly Finnish experience including free roaming reindeer on the property, a private sauna and hot tub experience, as well as home cooked meals. The hosts created a beautiful and warm atmosphere all around. Thank you !

A truly unique & alternative experience away from the more touristy/gimmicky options in Lapland. Teemu is an amazing host & made sure we had the perfect stay. When we arrived, he welcomed us with a warm fire, a snow-chilled bottle of champagne & an evening sleigh ride down the frozen river. When we didn’t have plans, he gave us local suggestions & made phone calls on our behalf. His adventures/experiences were also so much fun & we would highly recommend booking at least one dinner as well as his privately guided snowmobile trip. Teemu is a fantastic chef and we greatly enjoyed a 3 course salmon meal in the cozy & pleasantly decorated dinner cabin. The snowmobile ride is worth the price considering you get a 4hour trip across Teemu’s expansive private land & away from the public trail network. Lunch & photography also included. This is one of our favorite Airbnb’s to date & the pictures don’t do it justice. Our stay surpassed all expectations. Very happy we booked!

An exceptional stay! The location is perfect—close to the main town yet nestled in a peaceful, private setting. The house is impeccably clean, with a very comfortable interior, and the bed and pillows are of outstanding quality. The amenities were top-notch. The jacuzzi and sauna were spotless and easy to use, and having our own ice pool was an absolute highlight! The view of the northern lights from the lakeside location was simply unparalleled—hands down the best spot to witness this natural wonder. Really wonderful cabin ! We were a bunch of girls who enjoyed the house sauna, hot tub, fireplace , and nice kitchen/living room! A plus was the beautiful porcelain house offered. The host responded promptly to all of our questions. The only small minus was that the hot water wasn't enough for all 10 of us.. but otherwise absolutely wonderful stay🌟!! Highly recommended🥳!
