“A gem of a place. Very quiet and peaceful and with it being in a elevated location it gives a great view down to the coast and over to Ailsa Craig & Isle of Arran. Hot tub was superb and as there are no street lights nearby, the night sky is jet black, giving a great view of the stars. Overall a lovely place to stay and very friendly hosts in Jamie and Bianca. My top tip for food nearby: Souters, about 1 mile away, absolutely fantastic food & great value.”
A one bedroom flat with lounge - diner, kitchen and bathroom situated in a traditional workers sandstone tenament block dating from 1882 it is full of character whilst having many modern features. Situated in the ancient capital of Carrick, Ayrshire, it provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore what Ayrshire has to offer as well as those seeking accomodation for events or other activities.
“We travelled from Leicestershire to Ayrshire to go walking and booked in to the Tenement Flat. The place was beautifully clean and warm. It was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen was fantastic (big selling point for me!) and we cooked some lovely food in there. Can’t wait to visit again.”
The Smithy Seaside Cottage is a 3-bedroom terraced cottage overlooking the harbour in the picturesque coastal village of Maidens. An ideal place for families, friends and groups of all ages to enjoy a fantastic seaside break. Pets are welcome too! On the doorstep you will find Turnberry's world famous Championship golf course, Scotland's Premier Racecourse at Ayr and Culzean Castle & Country Park. The village has two children's play parks, a bowling club, village shop and lovely restaurant.
“Great house - good communication right from our booking and Gordon was kind enough to allow us in a bit earlier in the day as previous guests had left early. The house was spotlessly clean and honestly had everything we could need - kitchen was very well stocked, rooms were very spacious and plenty of towels. The reclining sofa's were extremely comfy and the wee box at the TV had loads of great films on it to keep the kids amused. Wi-fi connection was really good and with 4 teenagers in the house there were no complaints. Personal highlight for me was the lovely sunporch at the front that was fantastic to sit in in the evening. The house is just across the road from the beach for great walks at night and it's only a 10 minute walk to get into Culzean country park. Two fab restaurants nearby (one walkable and one a 2 mile drive) and easy access to Turnberry golf course and surrounding walks. All in all a great house to rent”
