The flat was bigger than expected, great location with lots of shops, restaurants & bars within walking distance. Parking on the street. Communication with the host was fab. We would definitely stay here again.

Arts and craft style lodge

HeleneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I stayed at the Lodge with my adult daughter for four days. We wanted a base close to the Cheviots to spend a few days exploring and walking in one of the few hilly areas of the UK we did not know. And that's precisely what the Lodge gave us: easy access to the hills from the west (via Town Yetholm), east (via Wooler) or north (via Hethpool). We ate in every evening: meals were easy to prepare in the well appointed kitchen, and it being June we were able to eat at the table outside until quite late, enjoying the absolutely glorious view of the hills nearby and on the opposite side of the valley. Although the Lodge is situated right beside a road T-junction, the traffic was so light we were hardly aware of it. Cattle lowing in the distance and a pack of hounds being exercised in the morning are the sounds we will remember most. To conclude: clean, quiet, well equipped and, for us, wonderfully situated. I could not recommend the Lodge too highly to a small party wanting a restful break.

Stableside. Charming, authentic , peaceful

A unique find with lots of character. Served us well for our two night stay. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Right in Jedburgh with an Abbey, home of Mary Queen of Scots, and walkable down town area. We had coffee at Abbey Bridge Coffee each morning. We took a day trip to the Bamburgh Castle, enjoyed the beach, then over to St Abbs Head National Nature Reserve. So much beauty in that area.

The Hayloft

this is our second - but not last stay. Lovely peaceful location, spacious accommodation, with kind and friendly hosts next door. Well equipped and interior has charm and character. It's off a quiet road, near the base of Yeavering Bell. The whole area exudes an atmosphere of ancient history and magic. The accommodation is so well placed for visiting all places of local interest and many wonderful walks. I would strongly recommend this for lovers of the countryside and walking. If you seek a peaceful stay, this is the place!

Kestrel Lodge

NickRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely location, with great views. We were only there for two nights so didn't make use of the hot tub, but everything was there if we'd needed it. The property was exactly as described, clean and fully fitted out. A decent breadknife would have been handy (we didn't think to buy sliced bread!!) but that aside everything else was perfect.

30 Bowmont St - Dog Friendly

SusieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Marianne’s place was perfect for us. We were at the Border Union show which was a very short drive away. Even walkable. The house was great for our dogs too, with a safe and secure area for them at the back of the house. The house was very comfortable, extremely clean and well stocked. There were even a few dog treats available which was very thoughtful. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Unique Mini 5* Castle: beach & hill walks & pubs

ClaireRating, 5 starstoday
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Whimsical Stay in a Real-Life Fairytale Castle Staying at this mini castle was pure magic from start to finish. Tucked away in the peaceful Northumberland countryside, it felt like we’d stepped into a storybook—complete with a babbling brook, moorland hikes, and free access to the grounds of the incredible Chillingham Castle. The home itself is full of charm, with thoughtful personal touches everywhere. Every modern comfort was provided, from fast WiFi to a well-equipped galley kitchen and a powerful hot shower (much appreciated after long walks!). We especially loved the warm evenings by the fire sipping drinks. Our host was kind, helpful, and obviously passionate about the space, which made us feel all the more welcome. This place isn’t just a rental—it’s a home with heart, history, and a lot of soul. We left dreaming of a return trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a magical retreat in a truly unique setting!
