Vacation rentals with a kayak in Keweenaw County

Sherry and Bob's cottage was adorable! Brand new kitchen and bathroom with an amazing shower! Beautiful scenery directly on Lake Superior. I would have preferred to be a little closer to campus to visit Michigan Tech but my nature loving son loved being right on the water!

We would stay there again, Jason was great at communicating with us, answering super quick and offering us local suggestions. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Incredible location and view of the lake!

We booked Joan's place thinking we had the whole house to ourselves, and ended up appreciating the company of Joan and her gorgeous cat. Joan was very generous with her time and baked goods. She shared her fresh baked scones, & muffins, a frittata and homemade preserves. The house was spacious while also cozy; remarkable in many ways.

We had an amazing time at the cabin. It was very clean and spacious for 6 of us. We had an amazing view. We loved the ability to walk along the water and on the dock. The owners are extremely friendly and gave us the history of the property. We loved the laid back feeling of our surroundings and will definitely be back.

So much of a find that a part of me wants to keep this place a secret. A paradise. Truly special.

What a beautiful home! The house is roomy, clean and the host is very responsive. Beautiful view of Lake Superior. We went there for stargazing but Mother Nature didn’t allow us to see the stars at night. But we made the best out of it. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home. AP

What a beautiful cabin, situated right on a lovely sand beach! The cabin was very clean, free of clutter, comfortable, and cozy. Truly I loved being off-grid with no cell service or wifi. They had lots of kayaks, SUPs, and other fun things to use in the water. Would absolutely stay again!

Great place on Lake Superior. Convenient location - kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms all updated and very comfortable. Nice deck looking out over the Lake Superior. Pet friendly but not much yard for dogs to walk in. Overall had a great stay there!

My sisters and I had an Amazing time at Deb’s place; sauna swimming in the moonlight, visiting in her beautiful home, enjoying the butterflies fly amongst the gorgeous flowers, walking along the white sandy beach, and sunbathing just to name a few of the wonderful memories! We already have it booked for our sisters trip next year! Deb’s attention to detail really makes this Airbnb stand out! Great job, Deb. Thank you!

Barry and Carol are incredible hosts. The place is exactly what my dad and I needed for our yearly trip to the UP. We got a flat tire and Barry and Carol were beyond helpful. I thought it was going to ruin our trip but turned into a 30 min drive with a spare, and one of the best Pasties I’ve had which was a win. Thanks again.

Carol's place had everything we needed for a great trip to the Keweenaw. Check in was easy and the place was clean.

WOW, the North Shores Cottages is definitely somewhere we will be booking again in the future! We came to town in the middle of a massive snowstorm + it honestly made our trip so cozy and relaxing! I own a small cleaning company and I have to say, this cottage was extremely clean + well kept! 10/10 for cleanliness! The fireplace kept the cottage super toasty since the winds coming off the lake were NO JOKE! It was a great amenity on a chilly night! The cottage also offered a really nice sauna across the street but we unfortunately didn’t find time to enjoy it. We highly recommend Calumet Pizza Works, they even delivered to our doorstop in the middle of the snowstorm! Overall our stay was a 10/10 experience + we can’t wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the beach which is just a few steps away from the cottage!

Quiet, private and peaceful! We were there during a snow storm and the views and ambiance were breath taking... definitely will keep in mind for future travels!

The cabin was absolutely stunning with a great view of the lake. Waking up and steppi g out to the sunrise and sou ds of lake superiors waves was devine! Only problems we had (Not jason or mistys fault) we didnt realise how far out the cabin was from town.. we got in really late and assumed there would be more local businesses. We were hungry and i didnt think to fill up on gas. We had to drive 40 minutes to the only open bar for food while praying we didnt run out of gas haha! It was stressful but made for a great story Lastly, the bed was too comfy. We were late to check out because we had stayed up late and slept through the alarms. That bed is THE MOST COMFY king ive ever slept on. (Sorry we were late btw) Over all i would say the stay was a solid five stars. Great scenery, great cabin, great owners. They have my full reccomendation. -Mark

Great place to stay if you're not looking for a touristy town. Eagle Harbor is very peaceful and not a lot going on. Places to eat are about 30 minutes away, but the car ride is very beautiful so it's a great experience. The cottage is small, but serves as a good home base. We only made breakfast there and slept. Other meals were packed beforehand and eaten as a picnic. This is a good place to stay if you're looking for a good weekend getaway.

The location was gorgeous. Fall is a great time to go to see all the leaves changing and enjoy time around the fire-pit. The interior was gorgeous, clean and cozy. The hosts were very attentive and kindly brought over dry firewood due to rain. I would definitely recommend this stay!

Such a private and relaxing location. Our last two nights we even saw the aurora over Gratiot Lake! Make sure if cloudy days are forecasted you conserve power! We had no difficulty utilizing the amenities and when we had questions Rebecca was responsive and helpful! The roads in are sand/gravel so we would recomend using a vehicle with high clearance. We had a wonderful stay here!

Sherry and Bob rental cabin was amazing !! The view was so amazing of lake Superior. The cabin had everything that we needed and it was in a nice location. Sherry and Bob are so kind. They have a beautiful property and want others to enjoy it. There are kayaks, bikes and firewood all included with your stay. Having a fire at the end of the night while listening to the water of lake superior was so relaxing. My wife and I are so excited to stay here again next year. This was the Perfect Stay !!!

Wow!! We truly made a soul friend on this trip. The drive to the house is long, and worth it. The home is pristine, the window views were awesome and the outdoor views were breathtaking! The majesty of nature at your fingertips. We loved hikes and looking for the eagles around the property. The outdoor shower was fantastic in the sun. We swam in the lake, the water is so clear, it was fun to explore like a kid. We’d planned our trip in hopes of seeing the northern lights. We were blessed on our first night to see them. They are majestic. Hard to describe. And the stars and the Milky Way! I’ve never seen any like it, all over the US. The pictures we took do not do it justice. Do a little research before the trip to ensure you get amazing photos. The beds were okay, nothing grand but appropriate. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and tools. Hosts were incredibly kind and responsice We had so much fun, and hope to return for a longer trip. Many thanks from happy hearts!

We loved our family weekend at Glenn’s “Camp”. Lake Superior holds a special for our family and we tried someplace new this time. We were amazed at the comfortable accommodations with plenty of room for our children and 3 energetic grandsons. Our days were filled with hours at the beach, just a few steps away to a secluded sandy beach with kayaks, and a floating raft along with sand toys for the boys. We enjoyed cooking dinner and breakfast on the Blackstone, with plenty of space to enjoy eating outdoors or in the screened in porch. We spent our nights around the campfire, enjoying a full moon, and stargazing. Each family unit had their own bedroom and designated bathroom space with access to shared laundry. Multiple entrances to the residence meant we could come and go quietly. Just a short drive away was Pat’s IGA for groceries, or The Last Place on Earth for a Swedish themed boutique. We also checked out Eagle Falls and Hungarian Falls. We can’t wait to comeback!!

We had the most fantastic stay at Steve’s cabin! It was so comfortable. The scenery was beautiful, it was so quiet and peaceful. Steve was a great host, came over to explain where things were and to find out if we needed anything. The cabin was very clean and cozy and it had everything we could possibly need. 10/10 stars. We can’t wait to come back!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The home was beautiful and the peaceful surroundings perfect for a relaxing getaway. The scenery was gorgeous and nearby hiking trails made it a dream for nature lovers. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Jen was very responsive in her communications and made me feel welcome from beginning to end. I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and would love to return!
