House vacation rentals in Keswick

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

We loved our stay here! The view of the lake and mountains from the living room was absolutely gorgeous and the location was perfect for exploring all of the Lake District. The whole house was absolutely spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was a little bit nervous that the home would be cold due to the energy saving measures but it was nice and toasty and comfortable all week! If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again!!

Paul was a great host, provided advice on travelling around and was prompt in responses with clear check in instructions. The house was clean, spacious and in a brilliant location for Keswick. We’ve really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

I had a fantastic stay at Claire and Stefans place in Bassenthwaite. The Cottage was really comfortable and had everything you needed for either a long or short stay. The location was fantastic, with multiple walks and local villages. I would highly recommend a visit to Chapel House Mews 🙂

Beautiful cottage, lovely surroundings to start our married life! Hot tub appreciated! Easy to get to Keswick too for shopping, food, and exploration. Welcoming bits left for us in cottage appreciated too!

We’ve just completed a brilliant stay at Sandi’s place for the weekend. It was exactly as described and shown. Super clean and cosy with lots of lovely touches, really nicely decorated and equipped with great products. The location was perfect to explore the lakes if you have a car. We had a range of weather and Yan was perfect for both, we sat outside in the garden in the sunshine and when it rained we felt nice and cosy inside. Sandi was really friendly and responsive. Really great value for money too. Would definitely return and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay with beautiful views. Well equipped and clean. Very happy staying here with our toddler and Fiona and Mark were quick to respond to any queries we had. Our little one loved watching the red squirrels, lambs and sheep at breakfast and visiting the alpacas.

Beautiful cottage and grounds sat right next to Ullswater lake. From the cottage front door down to the lake is less than a 2 mins walk down the hill. However the property remains private and secluded within the beautiful gardens and stream on the property. As a group of 7, we really enjoyed cooking and eating on the property, which has a beautiful kitchen as well as the option of two different of outdoor cooking areas (the Argentinian bbq was put to use and being next to the outdoor dining area was a great place to spend the evening and socialise/unwind after a long day of hiking) The sauna and cold plunge helped to soothe and restore tired and achy leg muscles

Danikas place was ideally situated for a fabulous hike up Blencartha… literally 13 min walk to the beginning of the hike, which started on a path behind the cottages down the main road. There was great food at The White horse Pub which was just a little further than the beginning of the hike to Blencartha. Keswick is a 15 min drive away for more things to do; we hiked up Catbells and Maiden Moor which is also a stunning hike. The property itself has great amenities, towels and bedding provided and everything you need to make sandwiches for hiking. We loved the comfy armchair for a well earned rest and a chill in the evening with a good movie. There is a little patio outside which is nice for a morning coffee and prayer ready for the day ahead. The shower is great, very powerful and the bathroom very clean. If i were being really picky i would say a mattress topper would improve the bed, however it was fine and i have certainly slept in a lot worse. Thankyou for a stay Danika

We took a detour from our planned road trip to meet up with friends in the Asby Road area at quite short notice so we were very pleased to find Chris’ place was available - and just down the road from where our friends are now living. The property was easy to find, and easy to enter. It was very clean and very well equipped for cooking and relaxing. It is also located in a great area where you can explore the quieter parts of the Lake District- which are just as beautiful as the more popular areas. The house guide gave some excellent walking and eating options. The views from the living area are beautiful and we spotted lots of wildlife from the bedroom window. We walked around Cogra Moss ( directly from the house) and Loweswater (a short drive away). We also had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Ennerdale Brewery. Portions were huge and really well priced. Chris was responsive and friendly as a host. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who are visiting the area.

The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location perfect for walking in the area. The kitchen very well equipped, comfortable bedrooms. The views from the lounge and the patio are absolutely stunning. The furnishings are a little sparse in the lounge also the stove is difficult to operate ( we did not manage) but overall we had a great time and we would highly recommend this place.

The cottage is in a peaceful village surrounded by stunning scenery. It is in a quieter area of the Lakes but within close driving distance of all the main attractions. The cottage is very comfortable and well maintained. Fiona was very helpful with local information. Check in was very easy and we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stay at borrowdale View for a birthday celebration. Easy walk into Keswick, with lots to do nearby. House and facilities were excellent!! Pictures really dont do it justice, you have to be there to really appreciate it. We will definitely be booking again.

What a beautiful find this cottage was. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac the cottage in the the the Village of Greystone. The cottage was beautifully set out and exactly what we needed in terms of location; Carlisle and Ullswater both about 30 mins away and Penrith 10 mins away. Jontti’s place was absolutely brilliant and the the extra treats were well appreciated. We highly recommend this place. Thanks.

This is a great central location, house was spotlessly clean and tidy. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.
