Family had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again! Trail from house to river is a plus!

Years ago we camped on our friend's acres of property and this stay took us back to those days of a great private spot to be out camping while not being crammed in a campsite loop... Beautiful little acreage and we really appreciated Margot's desire to make our stay welcoming. The creek is very restful and the camping spot was brilliantly sunny in the AM! We were traveling with a 3.5 year old and she loved the grounds finding the tadpoles and just loving the lawn (granted she's from the dessert so it really was a miracle for her to see that much grass!) It was great to know where we were going be able to pull in, feel safe and enjoy the peaceful setting! We were going to bring our own wood for the fire pit but in packing decided it was too much to add. Margot quickly responded and brought us bundles for the night! Thank you Margot for sharing your lovely spot with others!

The location of Eva's Cottage was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We were spending our anniversary doing multiple day hikes out of the Gorge. This little cottage nestled in the woods provided us the peace and serenity we were looking for as well as providing a local home base to return to each day. The cottage was off the beaten path so it was private. It was in the view of their lodge but didn't interfere with our privacy at all. We had a momma deer with her twin babies lingering near the cottage for us to admire and we enjoyed just sitting and watching the river.

This is a great place to truly get away from it all. Beautiful view, peaceful, quiet nights. Nice porch to sit and watch the boats go by. It was raining on my visit so did most of that from the living room window. There were binoculars in the house making it fun to get a close up view of the ships. George was friendly company. The house is comfortably furnished and the kitchen well stocked with little extras. Definitely worth visiting again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rainier River Retreat. The location is adequately named as it is so peaceful with the creek and beautiful views. We really felt like it was a retreat. My family/kids enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The location is close to all the best hikes at Mt Rainier. I would highly recommend!

Eddie was very helpful. He met us to get us to the house and he even delivered an item my son forgot there. The house is right on the trail around the lake. This place is great

Such a beautiful home! We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Wish the weather was better to enjoy the lake but it was so peaceful! We had trouble getting the Keurig to start but luckily there was an other coffee maker. Recommend bringing your own propane since all the tanks were empty. Aside from that, it was a great trip!

Our third stay at this place - one of our all time favorite airbnbs. Last time we suggested that add a charger for EVs -and they did, which is great. We’ll be back

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Retreat. It truly is a magical place right next to the Washougal River where you are surrounded by nature and can hear the peaceful river below. The hosts are more than helpful and we were grateful for their recommendations. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles and relaxing by the bonfire. The indoor space was very well kept and full of amenities. We will definitely return for another stay if ever in the area.

Our family’s fourth or fifth time staying here and it’s just as magical and fun as the first time. Beautiful nature getaway and we’ll definitely be back!

Everything was perfect for my needs. My host stayed on top of communicating with me my whole stay. The property was amazing and the animals were the cherry on top. I absolutely loved it.

I had a fabulous stay at Therese’s place! It was incredibly peaceful and calm, with stunning views of the river right from the bedroom — such a perfect way to start the day. Therese was so friendly and kind, and as it was my first time visiting Portland, she went above and beyond by recommending lots of great things to do and see. She even brought us our favorite breakfast items to enjoy— such a thoughtful touch! I would definitely stay here again anytime I visit Portland. Highly recommend!

An amazing, well furnished large home on the banks of a lovely river. If you are looking for an easy, access mountain retreat, or home base for skiing and hiking, you could not ask for better.

It was a lovely place to stay! Roy & Marsha were very nice and responsive when needed. The home was cozy and in a peaceful and beautiful location. Walking to the water was so great and we loved everything about it. Highly recommend!

The location is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing escape. We especially loved the hot tub, sauna, and swimming in the nearby river—such a treat! We had the pleasure of meeting the hosts in person, and they were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Communication was smooth and fast the entire time. We stayed here as a multi-generational family—from my 83-year-old great-grandma to a teenager and a 4-year-old—and we all loved it. Honestly, it was hard to leave! Thank you for making this incredible place available for families like mine to enjoy. We'll definitely be back!

We had a great time and any problems we had Michael took care of professionally efficiently and in a very very timely manner. All staff members we're readily available and more than willing to help in any way. Very well managed and very professional.

Our family of 15 were very comfortable in Koa's very spacious home. We enjoyed the lake and the pedal boats. I slept well and did not hear the I-5. Two of the bedrooms are in the basement, but everyone said they slept well and were comfortable. My son, his wife and their 2 small children stayed in the master bedroom and said it was very comfortable. The home was perfectly clean and I was happy to have a generous supply of towels. It was easy to drive into Portland and we also took a day trip to Mt. Ranier National Park.

Some trouble with check in. But other than that, it was a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back!
