Lake house vacation rentals in Kangaroo Valley

We really enjoyed our stay once again, it’s a lovely and incredibly peaceful place and would love to come back again and again!

Slavica’s place was great with nice water views of Lake Illawarra. The place had heaps of space to entertain 4 adults and 3 kids and had everything we needed for a nice weekend away. The one issue we encountered was we found the top floor very hot on the first night (particularly with very young kids). We needed to contact Slavica to unlock the sliding doors to get some air flow through, as the fans provided weren’t enough and there isn’t air con. Slavica was extremely responsive and was able to send a neighbour to rectify extremely quickly. I’d definitely stay again.

Perfect location, quick walk to the bowls club for a good dinner, private jetty makes boating a breeze. Kayaks and paddle boards are a great addition also. Amenities and cooking equipment are great. Highly recommend.

This house is beautiful and exactly as pictured. Lynne and Dennis were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We stayed during some not great weather but that no issue at all and it was quite lovely to sit outside with a drink and BBQ and watch the storm and Birds. The kids enjoyed using the kayaks and fishing.

We just had a lovely 3 nights at Barefoot House at Culburra. Susannah was a lovely host, very friendly and easy to communicate with. The house is just beautiful. It was warm and welcoming as soon as you open the door and see the lake sparkling through the windows. The house is so well styled and it just feels relaxing which is what the wknd was about. A lovely place to spend time with family, close to the beach, 15 mins walk to the shops which has a really cool brewery and coffee shops. All the rooms have big comfortable beds which is also what you want for a relaxing break. A really great place to stay! Highly recommend the house to anyone. Thanks Susannah again for being a great host.

We loved our stay!! The place was very cosy and had a beautiful view. Kangaroos visited us in the morning and afternoon. Angela was very helpful and flexible. We highly recommend!!

What a absolutely beautiful home! Had everything we needed and more!! Everything was great Beautiful birds visiting the backyard, even caught some small fish out off the back deck! Highly recommend this place, beautiful stay for our family and very relaxing! Thank you

We had a great stay !! The house was very clean and had lots of great amenities like the outdoor TV, well equipped kitchen and fire pit. We enjoyed the surrounding locations such as Swanhaven Lake and Huskisson. Nick was very responsive and helpful, even giving recommendations to the surrounding area. One of the best parts of the stay was the 11am check in and 2pm check out which you don’t normally get. Being able to have more flexible hours over a short weekend stay was great. We hope to stay again sometime soon !

The treehouse was beautiful, grounding and relaxing, we booked early week and most restaurants aren’t open until late week which wasn’t an issue with all the local produce available to cook within the home. All the local shops had lots to offer . Very beautiful home to unwind in ♥️

We had a lovely few days at Nicola’s property. Fabulous , quiet location with easy access to the lake, beach and services; everything was exactly as per the listing. Even the dodgy weather couldn’t spoil our break - we just lit the fire and settled in until it passed! We would highly recommend this property, especially for those looking for pet-friendly accommodation. Our puppers had a great time in the secure backyard.

Our stay at Leafy Guest House was amazing! I specifically picked this area to be close to a line dance class I wanted to attend while visiting Australia. The house was immaculate, bed very comfortable. The snacks and items for breakfast were a nice surprise! It was great to have a washing machine too! Plenty of air drying racks provided too! It was very quiet and private. I would definitely recommend Leafy Guest house to anyone visiting the area!

One of our favorite Airbnb’s during our Australian roadtrip. It offers one very spacious room that gives a loft feeling, especially with the open outside area that leads directly to the lake. You get a huge kitchen, big living area with smart TV and super comfy couch. The bed with view of the lake is also very comfortable and a great place to wake up :) The location is perfect, with only a 10 minute drive to Huskinson. A supermarket/bottle shop is a 10-15 minutes walk away. You have a lot of privacy as the appartement is only rented out when the house above is not occupied. Parking is possible on the premise (car port). There could be a few more cleaning products and towels, but when requested, the company brought some over asap. We had a really great time here and can absolutely recommend it.

Third time we have staying. Best week of the year, heaps of room for our two large families and a great location walk to the beach and lake. Rob has been great with communication and always generous with early/late checkin/out. Already asked to re-book next year.

We had wonderful Easter weekend at Ken's place! It's located in a very quiet corner of the village overlooking greenery and river. Ken's home is clean and cozy and has everything You need. There is so much to do around the area and we spent lots of time out and about. Definitely worth visiting! No cafe's or shops in the village, but quite a few in short drive away. We had beautiful fish and chips and Sussex Inlet and best breakfast at Huskisson, but plenty places closer than that (just be mindful of opening hours) People have mentioned the ticks in reviews - I don't think it has anything to do with Ken's place. Ticks are just big in South Coast and if you're visiting - your dog should definitely be up to date with prevention. I would reccomend bringing a crate for Your dog(s). Back patio is safe enough, but if you have curious dog - they would most probably try to go over the edge of the patio or try to push through the gaps as there is lots of wildlife around at night :)

We have stayed at lots of air bnb’s as we travel a lot for sport. This one topped the list!! We opened the front door and the place was absolutely immaculate, it was perfectly clean, the furniture was very well presented and we felt right at home. As we unpacked our groceries we noticed a well equipped kitchen which is so hard to find in an air bnb. The beds were all super comfy with spotless linen and even comfy pillows. We will absolutely be coming back to this gem. Thank you for providing such a wonderful home, it really goes to show that you’ve well and truly thought about everything to make your guests feel comfortable.

We has a fantastic stay with our son his wife and our grandson. There was lots to do at the house including board games and cricket. It was a short walk to the lake and an excellent bakery and fish and chip shop a short walk away. A perfect airbnb.

We absolutely loved our time here and I would love to return with family. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, the photos just do not do it justice. Highly recommend, had everything we needed and was only a short drive from Berry.

Went with a few mates to share the cost, it's our second time at Serendipity and we all commented how much the place feels like home. It has so many extra activity things to keep everyone happy if you happen to get a bit of bad weather. Kids will love the chook house and the ducks that hang around it. The Ice machine was a bonus and super handy. We swam in the river directly in front so we hardly left the house. Great Place.
