Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kamigyo Ward

The place is safe, clean, quiet and comfortable. Convenient to take buses to major tourist destinations. The beddings are clean and super comfortable. The shower systems are great. We enjoyed warm bath everyday especially when the temperature was low. There are supermarket, food outlets and a wonderful bakery at walking distance. Kako is responsive and attentive in communication. Four of us were sad to leave the place after a week of stay. TQ Kako.

This property is well withing walking distance to the Nijo JR line making it great to get around Kyoto and beyond. Shogo San was very quick to respond and was super polite. when I come back to Japan I will definitely be booking this property again as another stop across the country.

Misaki’s airbnb was absolutely perfect for a stay in Kyoto. I only wished I could have stayed there longer. It was a perfect location: easy to access public transit and walkable to main attractions, while also feeling quiet and free of crowds. The home itself was incredibly comfortable and gorgeous. Would highly recommend!

We had a nice stay here. The host, Takeshi, was accommodating, helpful, and gracious. FYI: our group was three people and the space was tight with our suitcases. Also, the staircase leading up to the bedrooms is narrow and steep. The area is quiet and is a 10-15 walk from bus stops.

The stay was very pleasant! Yoshiro is a man passionate about philosophy and art history, chatting with him was fun and as a guest he was kind and caring! If you're interested in the world of tea, you've found the right person to share your passion with!

Terry was so helpful and went above and beyond to welcome us! She drove us with our luggage from the metro station when we arrived and left too! She was insightful and provided nearby supermarket and restaurant rec! We enjoyed the stay as it was quiet and traditional home! The bath was so soothing in the evenings! Well worth the stay if you’re looking for a quieter location from the main touristy areas of Kyoto.

Best hidden gem we could have dreamt of!! Right in the middle of Kyoto's dowtown, this traditional but super comfy place was the best. Super clean and the most comfortable beds, Kosuke was also super responsive as we asked for restaurants'recommndations at the very last minute. This is definitely a wonderful spot to discover Kyoto.

Great location with close proximity to subway and Keihan line. Easy walk to east side temples and main shopping, restaurant area in Shijo/Kawaramachi. Place was clean and quiet. Good place for a family. Machiya company was helpful and convenient from Kyoto Station.

This is our second stay at Yoshimi's and we were very happy to be able to stay there again. Everything is perfect, very kind and helpful Yoshimi who speaks English, the place clean with a very comfortable bed, warm room, functional little kitchenette, peace and quiet around even though the place is very close to the main attractions. It's a very lovely area with numerous little eateries, good transport. If it is available - take it! And in spring, I believe, the street will turn into a garden as the trees that are lining it are the cherry trees. Thanks Yoshimi!!!

Shoji and his family were wonderful hosts. From when we first booked in right until we checked out, they were very helpful. Shoji even carried my luggage up the stairs! And even let us check in early. The place was very big and homely - with all the trimmings. The location was superb - all the big attractions were within walking distance (within 10k’s) if you don’t mind the walking then it was perfect to see everything. We highly recommend Shoji’s place. We wished we were staying longer. We love Kyoto! Thanks Shoji!

Host greeted us when we arrived and offered to carry the luggage up 3 floors even though she was much older than me. She had also provided basic instructions at check in. No issues were encountered during our stay. Good place to stay for a short trip. ☺️👍🏻

Lovely & friendly hosts. We had a great stay. The Airbnb is in a great location and the hosts provided clear instructions, comfortable room and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay in Kyoto. Would definitely recommend staying here, we hope to be back in the future.

Great place! Spacious and quiet while still close to everything

We stayed here for a few nights. The location is good - far enough from the centre to be peaceful but just a 10 minute walk from the Fushimi Inari shrine. The flat was a good size for Japan. The beds were comfortable and it was so lovely to have a little sofa and table to sit at. The host was very responsive in answering questions and replying quickly. We were very happy at this flat and would stay again!

Greatest experience ever to celebrate my birthday

Fuma’s place was the best Airbnb I stayed in the recent years. It is very spacious with great communal spaces - every aspects of the decor seem intentional and the view over the city is quite nice. Fuma was very responsive and accommodating and while we didn’t cook to enjoy local specialties, the appartement had everything we needed and more! Location was really great as well - close to all the major attractions in Kyoto. Really loved it! Thank you!

The location, cleanliness, and space was exact as shown in pictures and very comfortable, quiet neighborhood. The plus was the washer and dryer for us since we were on a 2 weeks trip around Japan..so having that was a bonus. I loved how accessible this location was to Gion, bus stops, and train stations. Seth was very communicative and responsive! Already recommended this place to friends traveling to japan in the upcoming months!
