Vacation rentals with breakfast in Kamigyo Ward

Yoko was such a pleasant and warm host. She would ensure she understood us and would share the best ways to get to the attractions that we are going to for the day. The room was tastefully and traditionally decorated. It was also clean and cozy. Most attractions are accessible by bus (there’s several bus stops to choose from) that’s conveniently located near her place. Otherwise, there’s also Nijō station and Kyoto station nearby that has access to the major train lines. We felt right at home in her place. We would definitely come back here again. :)

The location of the B&B is very easy to find, a very beautiful house in the residential area, the room is very clean, and it is also very close to the subway station. The breakfast made every morning is also very delicious ~ I really want to stay for two days ~ Super recommended!!!!!

Keiko san is a superwoman! Her breakfast was sugoi oishi (super delicious)!! Thank you for making this trip memorable as this is my first trip to Japan! I really enjoyed the beautiful autumn views in Kyoto. It was peaceful (except for Shijo shopping area), just the way i like it. Her accommodation was in a peaceful and quiet location, about 5 mins drive from the nearest JR station, and hence not very accessible by foot and there are only housing nearby (no shops). I would recommend this place to travellers who are looking to come back to a peaceful abode and to wake up in the morning to beautiful mountain views. Keiko san is able to drop you off and pick you up from Hanazono JR station, just let her know your plans in advance. Thank you for the hospitality and kindness. :)

Fantastic stay in Kyoto with Korean Grandma. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even drove us to and from the station (on check in & check out) and took us out for a lovely day seeing sights around Kyoto that we would never have found otherwise. Breakfast delivered to our room every morning! It’s also definitely worth having dinner at her restaurant at least once - lovely food at a fantastic price. As it was quiet there, she ended up upgrading us to a bigger room, free of charge, which was incredibly generous. It’s a nice quiet area, with lots of bakeries and izakayas nearby - and very easy to get the bus into town and back at night. Overall, very happy stay!

I had such an amazing stay here! I stayed for about 1 month, and enjoyed every second of it. The house is themed beautifully with British decorations, so I felt right at home. The amenities and all provided and everything was clean. Mari is such an amazing host - kind, helpful and funny. And Gon is an amazing co-host - very cute and friendly! The house is located in a peaceful residential area not too far from the train station which Mari picked me up from on my arrival date. There are shops, parks and temples not far from the house, so lots to do if you want a day to explore nearby. When checking in, Mari provided super helpful suggestions and advice and made sure to explain how to use everything and answer any questions. Mari’s english is also amazing so you shouldn’t have trouble communicating if you only speak English. I would 100% recommend to anyone to come and stay here, and would love to come back in the future. ありがとうございます！

Larry is the man! I was traveling by myself and thought maybe I should try staying with a local. This was my first time staying with someone else and he is now a friend. He came armed with suggestions for everything i wanted to know. He has maps for everything a tourist could want to see. He helped me find restaurants to eat at, which is very hard if you are looking for a fancy dinner with no reservation. Highly recommend staying here!

My son got sick and Tomy was very helpful, even going so far as to accompany us to the paediatrician. Every morning breakfast was set up and ready when we awoke. Learning to do the tea ceremony with Tetu was an amazing experience. Thank you Tomy and Tetu for a lovely stay

I loved staying at Keiko’s home. She was so kind, helpful, and even made delicious breakfasts that fit my dietary needs. I always felt comfortable asking her questions and letting her know when I needed a ride to or from the train station. I was so happy to stay in a quiet residential neighborhood in Kyoto. I loved having a quiet and peaceful place to come home to each night. Thank you Keiko!!!

This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. We loved the place. Both the guesthouse and the neighborhood were beautiful, with lots of character and easy access to public transport. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious and the host was great.

It was my first time traveling abroad for a month with my dog, and the process before leaving wasn't smooth, so I was worried a lot about whether my dog and I could get around well. Even so, Yukie & Kevin took care of a lot of things, so I really enjoyed the whole trip.😊 I am so grateful that I have so many memories that I would not have had if I had booked the accommodation as a general mansion or hotel! Thank you so much for picking me up by car throughout the trip to the airport and the station and bringing me a delicious meal every day. Everyone in the village was kind and kind, so I enjoyed the countryside of Japan with my dog. It was better because I preferred a quiet and relaxing trip with nature rather than crowded and bustling sightseeing.☺️ We are also looking forward to a new kids' house, so be sure to invite us when the house is repaired.💓 Both of you take good care of your health. Chieri San is an amazing host. The room in traditional Japanese style with the tatami is beautiful. I enjoyed eating at the cafe Shiki and enjoying street food at the Vera Garden and meeting some of the locals who were curious and very nice to me :) It was very easy to travel to Nara or Uji from there which made the stay even more special. Thank you Chieri San for everything. 100% recommend 🌸

I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!

I stayed for 5 nights for sightseeing in Kyoto.Because it is a shukubo of Chorakuji Temple, you can also participate in the morning work and take a leisurely look at the historic temple.The cleaning is also well done.The location is in the middle of Gion, so it is convenient to access Sakyo-ku, Higashiyama-ku, Gion, and Kawaramachi. We were impressed by Sakata's breakfast made for our family, a vegan, and we were impressed by the deliciousness.I also received advice on sightseeing, which made it a pleasant sightseeing.Recommended for those who want to experience proximity to locals that you can't get in a big hotel or inn.I'd love to stay there again when I come to Kyoto again in the future.

😍Well all comments about Tanaka san and his wife Machiko san are true but can't really describe how this people are simply amazing, wonderful and so generous. The japanese style house is so cozy with everything for us. The Tanaka homemade onsen is so relaxing...even more after a wagyu bbq night with a glass of japanese whisky (thank you Tanaka 😉). Thank you Machiko for your breakfest plenty of love and flavor. Thank you for your help with our laundry. Last comment (more usefull), house is just beside of bus stop (seriously best way to travel in Kyoto). The bus stop is a city bus but also JR bus stop include with many JR and JR west pass.
