Apartment vacation rentals in Kamigyo Ward

It’s a great place to stay with an enjoyable location. There’s a tiny cafe for breakfast right next door. Everything is a 10 minute walk. Fantastic price for what you get.

We really enjoyed our stay. Shoji was so kind, friendly and helpful,. He and his wife were excellent hosts, and as they live in the building, on hand if you need anything. The apartment was in a great central location, so easy to travel everywhere, but was very quiet at night. Nice neighbourhood with good cafés, an amazing bakery and more. We had everything we needed in the apartment and the bed was incredibly comfortable! I slept well! We enjoyed the roof terrace and had breakfast on it. Yes, the bathroom is compact, but unless you’re a giant, it’s fine. I especially enjoyed soaking in the deep bath after a long day of walking. We absolutely recommend it.

Kouhei-san and Yasuko-san’s place was brilliant. We stayed three weeks and had everything we needed. The location is convenient to lots of different public transport. The history of ‘Movie Street’ is really interesting, and there were plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a supermarket, two konbini shops, and a couple of pharmacies. 15 minutes from Kyoto Station and comfortable and spacious, we would definitely stay again.

Being close to the Karasuma metro line and various stores was really helpful. The kitchen was well furnished so we were able to cook meals as we pleased. The beds were very comfortable too! All around a good stay.

Very great host. Would definitely chose here first when coming back to kyoto.

Sumi's place is very nicely placed in an area within walking, train, or bus distance from popular locations in Kyoto. Sumi is very friendly, and provided great instructions regarding not only the flat, but also the surrounding neighbourhood. Sumi's assistance with luggage forwarding, and driving us to the station on checkout were also greatly appreciated. Sumi responds quickly to messages, and is willing to assisit however possible. I would not hesitate in booking here again when next in Kyoto (and recommending others do the same).

It was a really nice place to stay, the apartment has enough space, looks new and has everything you need to be there even for weeks. The station is really close and has different things around if you need something last minute (combini, izakaya, vending machines, even you can rent a bike). I totally recommend it.

An actual person was there when we checked-in...fast,and easy. Lobby and common spaces had a beautiful, modern Japanese esthetic. Room and amenities we very nice. Location is great for those who don't want to deal with the hoards of people at some of the more famous areas yet easy to get to key sightseeing location either by foot, if you want to enjoy the neighborhood, or by public transit.

This was the perfect and affordable place to stay in the area. Being right next to Nishiki Market was so nice! Keiko was very accommodating and the room was super clean! Although a small location it was perfect in every way.

It was an amazing stay. I rented the bicycle for the duration of my stay and it was the best choice I made. It felt like i was living my anime apartment life. It was very convenient to get around and the nearby river park is a must visit! Amazing views.

Shoji and Tomoko are very kind. Although we arrived very late, they arranged a self check-in and moved most procedures to the next day. The room is very clean and beautifully decorated. It is close to the Nishiki Market and also very quiet.

The place was clean and provided enough space and amenities for a couple. The free laundry was super handy, especially for those who are on a longer trip. The location is pretty central - you can walk to Nishiki Market and/or Gion district, and the public transit (bus and subway stations) are within 8-15 minute walk. We found the bedding comfortable. We knew that the place was on the 4th floor, no elevator, and the bed was on the loft - so we had no prob with it, but important note for those who are looking to stay here.

Nothing better than coming back to this room and sleeping in that bed, probably the comfiest bed out of the 3 bnbs I stayed out during my trip. My only regret is that we didn’t stay in Kyoto longer.

One of the best places you can find right in the center of Kyoto. Every place is easily accessible. The room was as good as in the pictures, the host was very responsive and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely come back again!

I had a really great time in Kyoto staying at Yoshimi's apartment. Travelling alone I felt very safe, the neighborhood is lovely and coming back every night after a long day around the city was like coming back to my little nest! I believe the accomodation is perfect for solo traveller. I also found great restaurants and cozy cafes in the area. I cannot raccomend it more, and of course Yoshimi is a wonderful and lovely host!

Good place to stay for a short trip with convenient stores everywhere!

Siezai-san's property was in a wonderful neighborhood close to Kyoto station. It was very walkable and easy to locate. It was also close to bus lines, which was very helpful for navigating throughout Kyoto. The property itself was spacious and clean. It's a great deal. Also, the okonomiyaki restaurant below was excellent and the owners were quite kind and welcoming.

Very conveniently located. Less than a min walk from Mukomachi Stn, esp during the colder seasons when you want to quickly return back to your apartment. The only issue is if you are light sleeper, then the trains passing through might disturb your rest, but I slept like a log both days I was there

Good value accommodation in Kyoto. Within walking distance of Nijo castle. Convenient bus stop located outside accommodation with a choice of convenience stores. Host was friendly and responsive, even let us store luggage in the lobby on check-out day. Would stay again if in the Kyoto area.

Was a great stay in Kyoto. We loved the bath tubs! About 10-15min walk from Kyoto Station depending how fast you walk. The washing machine is also a dryer in one, takes a long time, so we found it better to put it on when we left for the day and it was all done by the time we got back later at night.

Nori and Fumi were absolutely amazing, from the beginning to the end! They even received our luggages ahead of time and picked us up from the train station. The apartment was beyond our expectations; the bed was so comfortable and the biggest one we had in Japan, spacious living space and kitchen. The ability to do laundry was just icing on the cake! Breakfast was served every morning and it was delicious! Nori gave us an option of doing a traditional Japanese or American breakfast at the cool cafe. The location was right outside of the chaos of Kyoto but very close to the train/bus, restaurants, conventions stores, etc. Fumi took us to a local spot every morning and dropped us off closer to where we wanted to be and gave us recs! The experience with Fumi and Nori was just invaluable. We long to come back and visit them as they are just the most wonderful humans! It was great getting to know them and making new friends in Japan; they added so much to our trip. Thank you so much

The location is peaceful and offers a scenic view of the Toji temple. The staff are also friendly and professional.

A great place to take a break from the frantic pace of Tokyo and recharge your batteries for Osaka.
