Beautiful Secluded Home with own Beach in 6 Acres

DebbieRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Once again. Our second visit to The Noddle. Top review for this wonderful property. Lots of quirky lovely additions to the decor. The hosts fabulous artwork on the walls throughout were a delight. All we needed was at hand, and plenty of room for all 6 of us on our mahjong game tour. Clear instructions for all the carefully maintained heating units and other electrical appliances and all wall switches/sockets clearly labelled. Lovely maintained house and garden-including the 'secret garden'. A great decking with comfy chairs to sit in the sunshine and listen to nature... and count the bunnies! What more can I say.? Thank you Tony and Penny for letting us stay in this wonderful place.

Modern house surrounded by farmland & loch views

ZannaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Really lovely place on the Eastern side of mainland Orkney. The place was much better than expected - larger, comfier - the photos don't do it justice. And we thoroughly enjoyed watching oyster catchers, hares, hen harriers, and curlews out the windows. Would definitely recommend if you're after a quiet, comfy, nature based stay on Orkney.

Thurdistoft Farmhouse , dunnetbay accommodation

SusanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Really enjoyed our stay here. Amazing house with ample space for the 6 of us. Lovely surroundings. Peaceful. George provides logs & charcoal for the bbq & fire pit which was great! There’s also 6 folding camp chairs which you are free to use - they came in handy.! There’s outdoor seating & also a communal garden in addition to your own private garden space. The house was clean & comfy. Games room was a hit - we got in some darts practice which was a laugh & there was plenty time spent on the pool table too! All bedrooms are en-suite with one bedroom downstairs & 3 upstairs. Living room is large with 3 sofas. We definitely had loads of space. There was milk & butter in the fridge in addition to a lovely welcome pack of locally produced goods & breakfast cereals. George came to introduce himself & even gave us a wee tour of the neighbouring farm so we could see & hold the beautiful lambs.. really enjoyed our stay.

Badgers Den Silver Sands

RachelRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Had a lovely two-night stay at Badger’s Den with a few friends. The bedrooms are very compact, but the living area was nicely spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked and two toilets (one with shower) were appreciated. It’s a short walk to the absolutely stunning beach, though the caravan park pool was an extra charge. Overall, a great small place for a short stay.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. We had a wonderful stay. The caravan was spotlessly clean, well stocked with utensils, and was in a great location. Our children loved walking over to the park. The beaches are superb. We will be back. Thank you!

D11 - The Dunes at Silver Sands

HollyRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Stayed for 3 nights with my partner, just before Christmas as we were visiting family in Lossiemouth. Lindsay was super helpful and communicative as soon as we booked. The caravan was perfect, bigger than expected, very clean and comfortable. It was a wet windy cold weekend but once the heating was on, the caravan was lovely and warm. Gorgeous location right on the beach. We will definitely look at staying again (hopefully in the warmer weather!) so we can enjoy the location a bit more. Overall a perfect stay.
A serene beach scene is presented, featuring soft sand dunes covered in light, wispy grass. The calm ocean extends towards the horizon under a cloudy sky, with gentle waves lapping at the shore. Farther out, a distant silhouette of a boat is visible.

Dune Haven Luxury Beach Lodge

AlisonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a fantastic few days at Karin and Adam's place. Exactly as described and perfect for our three dogs as it backed directly onto the beach. Lots of thoughtful extra touches which made us feel right at home. Karin gave a great recommendation for eating out - in fact we went twice it was so good. We shall certainly be making a return visit 👍

Brand new, self-contained woodland studio

EleanorRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a lovely 3-night stay here with our cocker spaniel. A great base for exploring the Highlands, the studio is well equipped and nicely done inside and out. The screening around the outdoor space is great as it gives you a bit of extra privacy. We received detailed instructions on how to get to the studio ahead of our stay, which helped us find it easily despite the turning not being very obvious off the main road. Julie and James also allowed us to check out an hour later on our last morning as we got back quite late from a long day out the night before. This meant we didn't have to rush to get up as early and could take our time packing up and checking out. A great stay overall!

Liz's place was perfect for a week of exploring the East Coast. Literally fall out of bed and you're on the beach its amazing. Few good pubs in walking distance too after a busy day on your feet! Recommend The Steamboat if you want some weekend entertainment or the Beach Hut if you want a pint with a beautiful view. Corgi Cottage was a perfect little base. Well equipped, cosy and comfortable. We packed for winter but had a fab week of sunshine! Will definitely be back one day.

Sunset View Cottage, Highlands

LizzieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
5* place, don’t miss out if you get the chance to stay here! The cottage was fantastic, a real home from home and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed, full kitchen, comfortable beds and good bedding, and so spacious everywhere. Great to have option of utility room too. But then you see the view! WOW, utterly beautiful and breathtaking….. sitting outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and just watching the sea /weather… the hills/mountains in the background… we got some great sunsets and the peace and calm of this place was enviable. Sadly no dolphins spotted this time for us! Duncan was a fab host, giving so much info on the house, local area and places to visit further away… I’d definitely suggest a walk/drive to the lighthouse in Portmahomack late afternoon and sit on the rocks for a while.. feels like you’re on the top of the world! We left calm and happy and feeling very well looked after, thank you Duncan and Susan! We’d love to come back!
