The place was perfect! Very quaint and homey. They had everything we needed. The massage chair was a nice plus and we really loved the google cast to watch our shows and videos. The pellet stove was fully supplied and was the cherry on top for a Vermont getaway. Could not recommend enough!

Stay was nice, quiet, and cozy. Had all the accommodations we could need. When it snowed, we were given ample time to move vehicles before everything was plowed. An overall welcoming and good experience!

Warm, inviting cabin with gorgeous 360 degree views, giving the feeling of living with nature rather than apart from it. It is obvious that a great deal of care and love went into this place... many small, artistic details that create a magical vibe. We were cozy and comfortable during a snowstorm and quite content to stay home and soak up the peace and beauty. Kitchen was great for meal prep and the coffee and breakfast cake were appreciated after our long journey. The sauna was delightful, restorative and well equipped; we enjoyed it tremendously! Next time we would pack robes for walking back upstairs after sauna-time (we didn't realize that the sauna area was accessed from the outdoors rather than inside the cabin). We had plenty of privacy for our winter retreat, which we value. We didn't want to leave this special place, and are already plotting our return. Many thanks Sandy and Jim!

Mary Anne was wonderful and very sweet. A beautiful little studio to spend the night in during my clinical rotations at the hospital near by. The area is nice, and the people are lovely.

Patricia's place is a great hideaway with easy access to some of the areas highlights, including Shelburne Falls and Mass MOCA (within 40 minutes). The space is thoughtfully decorated, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked and her warm welcome of our dog was much appreciated. With or without a canine companion, this is a terrific, quiet spot. Highly recommend.

I’m grateful that Peggy and Harry were willing to rent to us at the last minute. Our family needed a quiet respite to be together during a difficult time of loss. The solitude of the lake and woods was calming and we had plenty of room to be together. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Nancy is a responsive host who provides clear instructions and offers local recommendations. The apartment we stayed in worked perfectly for our ski weekend at mount snow with 2 teens. Plenty of room and amenities within to foster a fun and relaxed family weekend. The maple syrup for purchase was a delicious touch. Would definitely stay again if we returned to the area.

Our ABSOLUTE favorite place to come stay! It doesn't matter which season we visit ( we have been during every season :) ...Highland Retreat is just amazing. The feeling of a 5 start hotel with just enough of the camping vibe thrown in! All I. the middle of beautiful Vermont! Your one time stay will turn into booking again and again !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great spot. This is the third time I’ve stayed. It’s easy, close to downtown, and comfortable.
