Vacation rentals in Island Mountain

The cabin is situated amongst towering redwoods on a gorgeous private property. There is a short trail to an overlook to see a waterfall and a private fire pit by a small pond. The cabin itself was cute, rustic, and fit 4 adults. WiFi was spotty given the location, but that was fine for us as we wanted to unplug. Overall highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend to explore Mendocino.

We had a wonderful & relaxing stay. Great view of the ocean, quiet neighborhood and convenient location if you needed to go to Mendocino or Fort Bragg. The home was roomy, comfortable and exactly as listing pictures showed. We enjoyed seeing the deer walking by each day. Neighborhood was perfect for going on walks & exploring the area. The fire pit was a nice addition. The only recommendations I have: (1) the Jack & Jill shower has a very slippery floor and needs some anti-slip strips added. (2) no extra garbage bags were provided other than the one that was in the kitchen garbage can. We would definitely stay here again.

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday and even though the weather was super rainy we still had the best time! We will definately be back to this rental with our kiddos. I usually dont expect great beds in rentals but omg...every bed here was amazing! I had coffee in and read my book every morning while soaking in the outdoor tub and the fire place table top was awesome to lounge around on the only day we had clear skys. We will definitely be back!

I can’t describe how cozy this place is. It fit right in with our vibe. One mile from the ocean. Turn table, lots of books, art supplies, coffee, wine and nice bathroom amenities. Nicely appointed art. I wish we lived closer so we could return soon. (We’re from the east coast). The bed and pillows were ridiculously comfortable. I feel truly lucky we found this place.

Our stay at the Cliff House at Otter Point was absolutely magical. It was a truly wonderful experience from beginning to end. The home was spotless, beautifully designed, and stocked with everything we needed. We cooked all our meals there and found the kitchen fully equipped and easy to use. Every room was comfortable and inviting, but what really took our breath away were the incredible views and the peaceful neighborhood. From the private bluff and through every window, we watched deer grazing in the front yard, geese flying overhead, eagles soaring, and seals playing in the ocean below — it felt like living inside a nature documentary. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They handled a minor fireplace issue immediately and so smoothly that it didn’t interrupt our trip at all. We can’t recommend this home enough and are already looking forward to returning time and time again. A truly stunning and unforgettable place!

The reviews say it all - this is a 5 star Airbnb perfect for rest and relaxation. John greeted us and was very friendly and responsive. The gardens are beautiful and we were lucky enough to get a clear sky at night which was incredible. The Airbnb is a short drive to the centre of Fort Bragg and around a 15 minute drive to Mendocino both of which are lovely seaside towns to wander around. I also booked in with Paul for a massage, who sorted my aching neck out caused by a few weeks travelling. He’s on the more expensive side but you get what you pay for and I’d highly recommend booking in with him if you are staying at here. It’s a great addition to an already fabulous Airbnb.

We enjoyed the Gull Cottage for a birthday trip. The house was clean, easy to access, and very comfortable. Jennifer communicated quickly on all questions to help get us accommodated. The hot tub and fireplace were very nice features and the neighborhood is very nice and quiet, perfect for walking dogs and enjoying nature. We had two issues - the spa jets would not turn off but Jennifer assured us to leave it and they would sort out the problem, and the main tv remote was broken from a prior renter but Jennifer had the remote shipped and delivered during our stay. Overall, great place to stay, great location between Ft. Bragg and Mendocino, and great communication from Jennifer. We plan to visit again.

This was our first time. After reading all the reviews this place did not disappoint. It was very clean, quiet and the views were breathtaking. There is a place to eat next door that is fantastic. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict. The drive in was absolutely beautiful with all the trees. Our stay was exactly what we needed. I look forward to going back.
