I really enjoyed staying at Tania House located in Padre Cocha. It is very clean and cozy here, all the details are thought of down to the smallest detail, it is immediately noticeable that the space was created with love. It's nice to cook in the kitchen while listening to the birdsong or reading a book in a hammock in the garden. There are many interesting places nearby that you can walk to, such as an animal rescue center or small towns on the riverbank. Tania and Jorge are very friendly hosts who are always in touch and will definitely take care of your comfort. I would be happy to recommend this place to other members of the Airbnb community. Mr. Guillermo welcomed us very attentive, always willing to help, my family, my dog Osita we felt at home. The pool is clean exactly as shown in the photos. The air conditioning in the main room was great, everything was great. Highly recommended, the area is quiet. There is privacy between appartments.

I arrived early and the apartment I booked was still occupied. Guillermo had another apartment for me a few blocks away and he walked me there, helping me with my luggage. There was no pool but it was clean, quiet, safe and peaceful. I had the best nap ever! Corner store. Easy to catch a Tuc-Tuc. Not too far from the Plaza. Highly recommend. Guillermo was friendly, responsive and speaks a bit of English. Book this!

(Read to the end) I stayed 7 days, 2 children, my wife and me. I was looking for a quiet place to be, for a moment part of an Amazonian community and it was what I found. The village of Santa Maria de Ojeal is the quietest and most peaceful there can be. Its people are warm and friendly, there are many children with whom my children played every day and swam in the ravine (river) There are 2 minimarkets with everything you need for daily cooking and you have free access to the river , jungle, trails, crops, etc. I was lucky to see monkeys in their habitat by the river, fishing in the ravine and in the Amazon River with very good results. We were comfortable in the accommodation, but you must bring repellent and insecticide. The village does not have electric light but the house does, with its own solar system. Coverage only Bitel. There is no TV. Yes, there is a radio and very varied. You must take a boat in Bellavista nanay to reach the village, charge 8 soles and leave only until 15 hrs. It's easy to get to, it's an hour's drive.

Nice place with a somewhat weird vibe. 7 blocks from the main square where most of hotels, higher calibre restaurants, and tour offices are. You can walk there or a cab will run you about 3 Soles. I didn't feel in danger around there at night, but I'd advise you not to look too flashy if you're obviously foreign. The apartment is a nice two room suite. The air conditioning unit and two fans kept the place a comfortable temperature even in the middle of the day. The AC drips condensation and forms a puddle in the hallway outside that you need to take to get to the washing machine. There's a nice big modern washer and dryer, but to get there you have to go down the stairs from your place to the lobby, then walk the narrow hallway with the puddle past the other units in the complex, then go up a spiral staircase two stories to get to the dark backroom with the washer and dryer, and then probably plug them in as well as they're kept unplugged. The time estimates the washer and drier gave me weren't very accurate and I had to make this trek many times to check up on my laundry. But they worked well and were never full when I needed them. Place was clean when I got there, but everything felt a bit soapy like they used a soap solution and didn't rinse. I stayed about a week and a half and after about a week they came in and did a cleaning while I was gone. I like fresh sheets, but I would have appreciated being asked if I was okay with someone coming into the unit. Nothing was taken, but I was freaked out for a bit before I could confirm that. Good kitchen with a gas stove with I think just one burner that works, a kettle, a good pan and pot and enough utensils and plates for about two people. No ventilator for the stove and gas particles are really bad for you, but that seems to be the norm in this part of the world. Street noise wasn't too bad. Wifi was intermittent. I couldn't get any use out of it at all with my laptop and the signal would go in and out on my tablet and phone. Best internet in town I found was at Ari's Burger, which didn't have that problem at all. Host communication was good.
