Despite the growing anxiety and unknowns around the corona virus while we were in Trinidad and new limitations placed on socialising with some bars and restaurants closing...we had a really memorable night. Carlos was a great host and improvised to make the most of the situation. It was the first experience of this kind my friend and I tried and we would definitely repeat. Thank you for a really fun night out and hope to keep in touch!

Luis Orlando, who was our host, is a walking book. He has so much knowledge about his beloved hometown and one feels that he really cares about getting people to know. He opened our eyes not only to the different epoches that Trinidad lived through, but also to little details about the architecture or about how the town is arranged.
A highlight was a visit to a Santeria shrine, where the keeper of the shrine, a very sweet old lady explained us about the belief with Luis help.
Luis was also so nice to change the date of our tour because on our actual date we reached Trinidad rather late, because the bus broke down on the way.
He also met my request to leave some time for me to translate everything to my parents, who don't speak English.
It was a wonderful tour and we felt that we learned a lot about Trinidad in those just two hours.
