Fantastic location to explore arugam bay, everything is easily walkable and it’s a great place especially if you’re into surfing and beach bars. The rooms were clean and AC worked well. We were a group of 7 so we had 4 rooms booked and all of us were happy. Breakfast included is just across the road in another cafe, as I’m gluten free there weren’t any options for me but all my friends ate there every day and were really happy with the food. The only negative was having to fill in a form on arrival when we’d already booked and paid through Airbnb, but with a quick call to the owner this was quickly sorted and we were shown to our rooms. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Arugam. The rooms are basic with double bed, mosquito net, AC and en-suite but really this is all we needed for a great stay.

We actually just booked 4 nights but extended to 7 nights as we really loved this place. The cabanas and the surrounding are really clean and located in the 2nd row of the beach. It is a quiet place and we slept really good in our kingsize bed. Allthough it is really quite you are very fast in the main part of arugam bay and places to have a drink in the night. The owner Rishad and the manager Alf are the most helpful persons we have ever met, they do all around well-being package for you, starting from organizing what to see, making breakfast or dinner, caring about your injuries and organizing your airport shuttle. We felt absolutely welcomed at Emerald Bay and could recommend everyone to get to know these amazing guys and Emerald Bay!

We enjoyed our stay very much, as described the location is out of Ella its self quite a way. We loved this, the valleys were beautiful, the village people were very friendly. The room was simple but all we needed, Andrew was excellent and answered all our questions and filled our tummies with excellent food. thanks Cool Mount we enjoyed our stay.

Wow wow wow... We absolutely loved our stay at the Brickhouse @ Monsoon Eco Resort. The building is beautiful. Seneth, Vishy and the entire team are the most welcoming, friendly and kind souls. We came as guests and feel we have left with friends for life. If you want a relaxed stay away from the hustle of Arugam Bay, this is the place. The grounds are absolute Zen. The food is delicious. The accomodation stunning. It was hard for us to move on after our 5 days stay at the Monsoon Eco Resort. It's a quick walk to the local beach which has some decent surf. A board and rental shop down the road and it's only a 20 minute Tuk Tuk ride to Arugam Bay. If you're lucky, you'll spot some wild elephants on your way in. Book now before someone else beats you to it.. You'll have an incredible time!

We were warmly welcomed. The villa is architecturally very well done and tastefully furnished. Caretaker Adam is always present for any concerns. He also cleans the apartment every morning. The beach is only a few steps away so you can fall asleep at night when the waves rush. There are plenty of seating options in the garden and restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Rüdiger and britta are excellent and thoughtful hosts with valuable tips. We had a great safari tour together. we would 100% recommend the villa.

Where do we start! Anna and Nicola were the most welcoming, sweetest, and most helpful hosts we've ever met. My boyfriend had food poisoning and Anna and Nicola immediately helped with medicine and homemade chicken soup which tasted amazing. The place is so beautiful. The finest details and an incredible tranquility that was just what we had hoped for. We surfed with Anna early morning and afternoon which was so cozy. Like having made a friend in no time. The food was so delicious and they have the world's best pizza. It's super easy to take a tuktuk on Safari, surf or into town. There are lots of good restaurants nearby if you want a little variety.
