街路樹4F

Exceptionally warm and friendly. Because of the train station directly in front of the house, we had an easy way to Nara(~20min) and Osaka Namba (~40min), direct train connection. We had no trouble sleeping. Apart from trains passing, the area is very quiet. The view at night from our room (3 bed room) was gorgeous, and the breakfast in their cafe is delicious. For me it is one of the best places I have stayed.
An entryway is visible, featuring a wooden door leading outside. A set of three trash bins in red, blue, and grey are placed on the floor to the left. Light from a ceiling fixture illuminates the space, which is complemented by a staircase leading to the upper levels.

Clean and tidy house, about ten minutes walk from Nara Station. The first floor is the living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and other common areas, and the second floor has three bedrooms, with very good privacy. The host is very welcoming and considerate. They can pick you up at the station if the timing is right. They also prepared snacks, water, towels, toiletries, etc. There are tissues and trash cans in every space. It was a very good stay.

400years Relaxing Japan art mansion edible forest

We had a lovely stay - Jerome and Hanako made us feel very welcome and the house and garden are lovely and very well maintained. Jerome was happy to give us a tour of the garden too! You have really good access to Nara via the buses, and there are some good food options a 15 minute walk away. It's worth mentioning that the house is kept with Japanese rules and has some delicate items (like Japanese paper screens and antique furniture) - these all add to the atmosphere of what is a lovely house, but it's worth thinking about if you have children. We had our 9 and 10 year olds with us, and they (with some guidance from us) we able to keep to the rules, but I think it might have been more of a challenge with younger children. All in all a great stay - we were really glad we stopped here as part of our travels in Japan!

Nara's Top Sights: 5-20 Min Walk!

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Neighborhood is wonderfully quiet. It is a bit away from Nara sights, but easily walkable to Kyōbate Station and local bus routes. One day, we did walk from property to Nara Park and Tōdai-ji Temple, but we did not walk back! Easy walk also to Lawson, Daiso, McDonald's. For dining, we went to Kura Sushi for conveyor belt sushi, but the stand out restaurant was Kuruminoki Shikanofune Kamado, just 5 minutes away. Property was clean and nicely decorated. There was even tea and cookies for us when we arrived! The lockbox with key inside was fussy/difficult to use, but we eventually figured it out. We were slightly startled when someone walked through the little yard/courtyard of the house on our 2nd morning to collect the trash/recycling.

A privilege to stay in this light and clean home with its skilful blend of traditional Japanese and modern design. Lovely little garden and warm welcome by the host. Situated in midst of the old town, with quiet narrow roads, our favourite part of Nara. We are a family of five and would be happy to return!
