Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Idra

Elena's place is perfectly located. Easy walk to tavernas, cafe's restaurants, the harbour, and shops etc. The house itself is very rustic and homely, with basic facilities. It has a wonderful balcony with harbour views. Elena was very responsive and helpful, as was her mum who lived next door. If you want an authentic Greek experience I highly recommend this listing.

The house is even nicer in reality than in the pictures! So charming! It is quiet and nice near the water, but with a nice walk into the harbor. Many stairs, however, if you walk through the city, but there is a road along the sea that quickly and easily takes you to the harbor.

Amazing position and pool just a blessing. The house is just in the perfect spot and the view is outstanding ! First time they rent and the host was very present over the messages with instructions and recommendations. The inside is simple and organized and the outside could be more furnished. I am sure they would improve on this and make the place more and more exceptional. Enjoy!

We absolutely loved Joy House for our 2 nights in Hydra. We were met at the ferry and walked to the house with lots of local recommendations. We were allowed to check in an hour early which was so helpful. The place is beautiful and spacious for 4. I appreciated the small touches like bottles of water and Nespresso, and cream! I would return in a heartbeat! Choose this for your Hydra stay!

What a lovely stay! A perfect location and the hotel’s breakfast was fantastic. The hotel staff was incredible and offered ongoing support throughout our stay from logistics to dining reservations. A wonderful stay overall.

We had a wonderful time! The host was wonderful, kind and very responsive. Check in went very smoothly, we came with our three children who enjoyed the place so much. The location is just great! Very central, close to the water but still hidden and private all at the same time. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The perfect little house to stay in Hydra. A mix of authenticity and comfort, the bedrooms are very peaceful upstairs, spacious and bright. We did yoga on the top terrace in the morning, with stunning views of the hills with their houses and bougainvillea. The downstairs terrace adjoining the kitchen allows you to have breakfast and brunch in the morning, with a large, very practical table. The host was very accommodating with schedules, responsive in his responses, in short. Finally, the location is ideal, a few minutes from the port on foot, and the nicest bars in Hydra. The perfect combo, hope to come back.

Fabulous apartment, well equipped with many kitchen gadgets, spacious lounge, lovely balcony with sea views. No complaints. The apartment was a considerable distance away from Poros town, more than indicated on the Air B&B map. It is very close to Petros Beach which is our favourite beach with a great taverna behind so we were not too disappointed but it meant a long walk into town and a taxi back. This wasn't a problem for us but could be a deal breaker for others. In the age of computer technology I would think it an easy error to rectify.

Georgios' house is a fantastic place, in the middle of a large garden with lemon and orange trees and with direct access to the sea. The apartment is very nice, tasteful and individually furnished. But the absolute highlight is the large roof terrace with the wonderful view, where you can also endure the heat. A good tavern and a beach bar are a few minutes' walk away.

Easily one of the best places to stay on Hydra. You’ve got two balconies overlooking the marina, one from the bedroom and another from the living room. The place is super clean and spacious. Julieta, our host, is everything you expect from a great host. We’ll be back again.

This apartment exudes a wonderful aura of warmth and hospitality. It is the cleanest home I've ever encountered. Every detail, from the bath plug to the french press plunger, gleams! This, along with the tasteful decor paired with the impeccable functionality of the kitchen - stocked with every utensil and appliance one could want - reveals the owner's considerate and caring attention to the experience of his guests. Kostas, the property manager, is outstanding! He was so proactive and accommodating, meeting me at the port and helping me with my many bags after a big day of travel (predicting I would need help), organising a car for me at the last minute, and responding to my every request kindly. Beyond his professionalism, he's also a very knowledgable person. When I asked him questions it was clear he is rich in knowledge of Aegina as well as the history and politics of Greece, which I really valued.

We had a lovely stay in Hydra in this beautiful apartment. The place is well located, clean and has a functional kitchen for holiday cooking. Charlene has been very helpful all along our stay. It was our first time in Hydra and didn’t know how difficult it is to walk with a luggage - should have taken the water taxi to Kamini on the first day :)

I can’t express enough just how brilliant this AirBnB is. Christos is extremely helpful, a fantastic host. The images don’t show just how lovely and homely the Airbnb is, or how perfect this location is. The pristine sea is quite literally on your doorstep with canoes available for sunset trips. It’s extremely quiet, with two lovely tavernas within a few minutes walk available to enjoy delicious traditional food.

We had the most wonderful stay at Maria's villa for our family vacation. The location was absolutely perfect—just a short walk from fantastic restaurants, two grocery stores, and two bakeries, which made everything incredibly convenient. But the true highlight was the breathtaking view of the sea, which we enjoyed every single day. The villa itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. It truly felt like a home away from home. Maria was incredibly generous, leaving us a lovely welcome basket filled with goodies, which was such a thoughtful touch. Jimmy was outstanding—he met us at the port, helped us organize taxis, and shared great local recommendations. He also kept us updated with anything we needed to know, including local news like power or water outages, which was really helpful and reassuring. We would absolutely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

After 11 blissful days here, we’re already counting down until we can come back. • Eleni’s Hospitality: almost every morning, Eleni delivered fresh bread to our door, and her homemade dinner was out of this world. Don’t miss her melt-in-your-mouth octopus—soft, perfectly seasoned, and simply unforgettable. • A Handy Tip: Please don’t leave slippers, towels, or glasses outside overnight! We traveled with our senior parents, and one morning my father’s pool slippers went missing. We initially assumed the wind had whisked them away—but then spotted animal tracks on the car and found one slipper under the lemon trees. The next day, my mother left her shoes out to dry “just for a bit,” only to discover they’d become the target of a mischievous weasel using them as… a litter box! 😂 Lesson learned: bring everything indoors

This airbnb has a wonderful terrace with gorgeous views over Hydra. It's just 5 mins walk from the port but high enough to be able to see the sea. It's been refurbished to a high spec and feels very luxurious, everything was pristine. George was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Great starting point for both swimming and exploring Idra town. Stunning views from multiple spacious terraces. Ana was very helpful when we realised we had to leave earlier due to ferry times. Spectacular place and island thank you.

A wonderful time to the rhythm of the waves, a house with a serene charm that you don't want to leave

George is the most kind and thoughtful host you can hope for. My friends and family stayed at his very comfortable and well situated home in Hydra for a week. He is a most hospitable host who provides great local insight as to where to dine and where to swim and everything in between. He even went out of his way to source (and expertly pack) prized honey produced on the island for my family to take home (a particular feat as honey production quite low this year!) The house itself is on a serene street, next to one of the best restaurants in town. A short walk to the port and no steps climb. Highly recommend ! We all look forward to our return stay.

We spent 5 extremely happy days in Kamini and have no hesitation in fully recommending the house. The villa is well situated being close to several good restaurants, a few minutes from the beaches and a short walk to Hydra harbour along the beautiful coastal path. It is easily spacious enough to cater for 7 people. we arrived late in the evening and were particularly impressed by the generous breakfast provided by the owner.

Athanasia was the most thoughtful host we have ever had! From meeting us at the port and arranging for our baggage to to be taken up by mule to having a fully stocked fridge, including ample water and supplies! She clearly cared very much that we had the best time and sent many recommendations and was always at the end of the phone if needed. The house is beautiful and traditional to the island with large terraces with amazing views. Anyone who has been to Hydra will know that the best places require a bit of a hike and this is no exception, we traveled with our 3 year old and it probably was as the limit of our comfort level with regards to getting her up and down and keeping an eye on her when outside as the terraces have unprotected edges- which is standard on the island. Worth keeping in mind if you have small children. Those with children who are a little more adventurous will get the payoff of staying at this truly beautiful and peaceful house and island!
