Bedroom #3 with a double bed

Great place with decent location (busy road, though) near good restaurants and shops in town. The centrepiece is the second floor balcony with hammocks and couches (and a cat). Enrique is very friendly and the Rocas ended up being more than I expected, and a great place to stay for a month.

Posada La Rosa Marina El Valle-Bahia Solano Choco

The cabin was the same as what was seen in the photos, the place is very quiet and is close to both the beach and the place where the boats leave. Carmen was attentive and helped us get transportation and contact people to make the desired tourism plans. We really enjoyed our stay.

Casa Cielo: Private waterfront cabin

If I could rate Alejandro & Stephanie's place higher than 5 stars I would give it a million! The cabin is heaven on earth and they are the best hosts you could imagine. The space is cosy and reminds you how little you actually need to be perfectly content. It's rustic, but the sheets are luxurious - a perfect combination. The view changes every 5 minutes with the clouds and birds and butterflies, but is always outstanding. What a place to wake up! The hammock on the balcony has a special place in my heart! Alejandro's massages are pure bliss, and Stephanie's yoga brought a peaceful energy to each day. Their recommendations for food and tours were spot-on! Bahia Solano is my new favourite place in the world. Great chill vibe, super safe and friendly, and I loved the nocturnal hike and kayaking through the jungle. Plus fresh fish for breakfast, lunch, dinner (and dessert haha) that never failed to amaze. I would sell a kidney to come back to this special slice of paradise, asap!!!

Villa Baleine enjoys the embrace of nature

The cabin and setting are fantastic. The neighbors are also super nice, they help you, they walk, a sun! Overall the experience was fantastic, I would recommend it and return to Playa Mecana. About the accommodation: I think the beds should be improved, which are terribly uncomfortable. For a day ok but for longer stays fatal! In our case Angela is very late to reply, it is better to book the house more in advance. For check-in: Bahia Solano is, in everything, much more expensive than the rest of the country. It's important to know in advance that the price of the boat to go from Bahia Solano to Mecana costs 80,000 pesos, and that the airport to the port's tuk is between 10,000 and 40,000 pesos. We were charged 40,000 for the supermarket time, without notifying us that this counted...
