House vacation rentals in Hopkins

All I have to say is...PERFECTION!!! We've been renting airbnb's for over 10 years and this has been the best yet. Great location, well taken care of, clean, responsive friendly hosts, great amenities and the most well stocked place I've experienced. I can't say enough great things about this place.

We loved staying at Pineapple Hill. The surrounding jungle was beautiful. We loved using the nature trails and the swimming hole. We visited a few other towns in Belize during our stay (Belmopan, San Ignacio, Hopkins) and I am happy that we stayed in Middlesex and used Pineapple Hill as our home base for day trips rather than staying in those other locales.

It is a beautiful property. We booked the whole property for the six of us. I had the cabana closest to the water and early morning coffee on the veranda doesn’t get better! The dock was a lot of fun but as we hit a windy few days we couldn’t use their paddle board or canoe. My 9 year old grandchildren loved the splash pool and attempted to feed the many geckos and iguanas? We had a car which made shopping and sightseeing easier. The furnishings and appliances were upscale but not fussy. Beds and pillows were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Anyone we saw was very friendly and we felt safe. I wished we’d had longer!

Phil's place is a great location for exploring Belize without the tourists! Centrally located in the southern part of the country, it was within an hour of great little villages like Placencia, Dangriga and Hopkins, as well as the mountains and cayes for hiking, zip lining, snorkeling, caving...you name it. It's off the beaten path, nestled in a reserve so be prepared for driving on dirt roads to get there, but hey, it's Belize, so that's common and you'll get used to it. We drove from Belize City so didn't take up Phil's offer to rent his personal Jeep, but you'll definitely need an SUV (that's all rental companies provide anyway). It's a good place to stay if you are allergic to tourists and want a nice quiet, peaceful home with all the amenities....but close enough to drive in for dinner or drinks with expats or tourists if you get lonely. Phil's house was super clean, safe, beautiful, comfortable and well provisioned. We stayed with our two teenage boys who loved the pool and the beach club with access to the ocean, paddle boards and kayaks. We had it to ourselves most days! There is no cable TV (which we loved) but Phil's got the most amazing collection of movies (1,000+) so you won't be bored (movie night was every night!). Since it's a bit remote, you likely won't be going out to eat every day, so stop by a grocery store in any of the towns on the way in or the surprisingly well-stocked store on the community, including a case of Belikin beer in a returnable crate (THE beer of Belize).

The house was very comfortable and views were amazing. We loved having our own oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The location is not near the main village so would recommend having your own transportation. The kitchen had everything you'd need so we didn't have to purchase a bunch of additional items like spices. Bed was comfortable and the overall living space was great.

We are a family of 5 and recently stayed at La Vida Belize. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The plunge pool, beach and dock were the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure. We enjoyed being in a quieter area and didn’t mind the distance from the main area of Placencia. We rented a car and explored several areas in Belize during our stay. We used the guestbook for tips about the area and places to eat near Maya Beach. The grounds keepers were friendly and kept everything nice for us during our stay. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. During our week stay, some of the activities we were able to do included: snorkling with Captain Jak’s, visit the Bocawina Nation Park & Zip-line Adventure, fishing, a Monkey River tour and visit some Mayan Ruins. We also spent a good amount of time relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool. We recommend staying here.

Stop searching for a place and book here!! We absolutely LOVED our stay at Salty Bliss! The house is everything and more. We spent most of our vacation enjoying the beautiful pool looking at the lagoon! Bonnie and Dora are the nicest and so helpful. We booked a golf cart (highly recommend doing to explore the island!) and a snorkeling tour (that picked us up right from the lagoon in the back of the house!) with Bonnie’s advice and can’t recommend using the same companies enough. The house is SO stocked with everything you could ever need - towels, coolers, bags, even frozen gel packs ready to put into the coolers. When we return to Placencia I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else! Thank you so much Bonnie for making our first visit unforgettable! 💜

We had a great time in Placencia. The place was perfect for our needs - spacious, comfy, clean linens, and had all the amenities we needed. It was nice to walk to the resort and have access to the pool and restaurant. Vincent was responsive and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we had what we needed and to make recommendations. The house is a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Overall a great stay in Belize!

Amber's Happy Place was truly amazing! You are a short distance from Placencia and in an area where you get some privacy and beach access. We originally thought we would want to be in the heart of Placencia but quickly realized that we would not have enjoyed it as much as where Amber's home is located. The inside is decorated in local art and has been tastefully done. All of the natural wood really adds to the place. We had all of the amenities that we needed and the air conditioning was able to keep us cool on those hot days. We did not want to leave! Great property and excellent location!!!This property is located on the Peninsula of Placencia and located in the plantation area of Placencia. This area offers a wealth of culture and accessibility to places to eat ,waterfront beaches,and pick up and drop off to the many excursions in and around Beilze.We were surprised to find such modern accommodations close to this property as well. There is 1981 an upscale restaurant located at the Naia resort, there is Umaya another upscale restaurantand resort close by as well.For desert there is an upscale and modern little ice cream parlor called "Chillpoint" just next to Sein Bight about 10 minutes down the road and several other restaurants and local businesses.We felt at home in the Oceanside Cabanas and werevery pleased with the ambiance and privacy it offered.This place is a gem and the amenities are well thought out.All in all we would definitely rate this among one of the best AirBnb properties we have had the pleasure of recommending.

We’ve had a wonderful time in this beach cabin. It is incredibly well located in Placencia with tons of restaurants and scuba diving shops. It is a large lot right between the main pier and the beach with 3 cabins on it: 2 for short term rental on Airbnb closer to the beach and one slightly at the back where Arthur and Aura lives. Aura and Arthur welcomed us and explained the rules and provided recommendations. Although not the most luxurious place, the cabin was very clean and comfortable, and definitely much cheaper than other beachfront options in Placencia. So very good value for money. Hosts even refreshed the room twice during our 6 days stay, which was awesome!

I love this location; easy access to everything. Great distance to travel to Placencia or Belmopan, Hopkins and Belize City. The neighborhood is friendly and helpful. I will definitely select this location for all my future vacations in Belize. I experienced nothing in a negative manner and I am very pleased with the cost to stay 🙂 May Allah continue to bless Tobin in all his endeavors. I highly recommend this location if you want peace and tranquility in your stay!

This was the best place I’ve ever stayed at - from offering home cooked meals and helped with telling me where the pharmacy was. Just wonderful people!

This was our favorite house we stayed in in Belize. Solid, good ac. nice hot water, front balcony with lovely view and birds around! Christy and John were in ready communication. The house is only about a 22 min drive to Hopkins where there are many restaurants and snorkel trips available, and several national parks with hiking to waterfalls. Dangriga is a bit sketch, but we had good Garifuna food on the weekend at South Havana bar and grill.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home by the sea! If you want to get away to a place to relax, this is a great option. The house is clean, modern, and well-equipped. The beach is out your back door. Lori was super friendly, considerate, and a great communicator. The only heads up I would give is that the doors on the bedrooms and bathrooms are not completely private. Take this into account when traveling with others. Overall, we were very satisfied with this place!

The villa was just what my family needed. It was out of the tourist area and relaxing. The house is equipped with most everything we needed. The place was just as advertised. Great time and a bottom floor bedroom for privacy for my dad. Kitchen is remarkable and beautiful!!

Had a great time here! The place is charming and right on the beach. It's not huge but has vaulted ceilings, nice king sized bed and a shower with HOT water and great water pressure which is not always the case in the Caribbean or Central America. Screened in porch overlooks the ocean and protects against the bugs. Perfect accommodations for a solo traveler or a couple. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood with a bar and restaurant next door. The location is a few miles from the stores and amenities of Palencia so a rental car would be recommended. Colleen Ann is a great host who responds quickly, lives in the area, and can handle any any issues/questions you may have.

Great place to stay in Hopkins!! The house is right in the heart of the hotel district, but everything was quiet and relaxing. Great place to take the kids with plenty to do. The house had all the furnishings and appliances that you could ever want. Lots of space as well. Pool is large and very nice. Beach was clean and the local help was great.

I cannot say enough how perfect this stay was. Great amenities, perfect distance from town for quiet and privacy, the beach is unbelievable, and the house is immaculate. Steven was so very helpful and responsive with the many questions I had and I'm very grateful for that, it really helped improve my stay and trip overall. The beds are very Firm and that is not for everyone, but also not uncommon for the area. We did not always have hot water but that zero bothered us since the weather is much hotter and more humid than we are used to...something to know, but it was not ever uncomfortably cold either. I cannot wait to return to Belize and would stay here again without hesitation, and want to bring my young child this time. Seriously cannot recommend staying at this house enough! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit zwei Kids, der Pool und die Bar samt Essen sind super, die Leute freundlich und die Hütte genau richtig. Die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein, aber das hat trotzdem gut geklappt. Chris hat uns gute Tipps gegeben und sogar geholfen, weil wir Dinge dort vergessen hatten. Danke! :)
