Cottage vacation rentals in Holmfirth

It was truly the best Airbnb we stayed at. Every detail is clearly thought of, from the furnishing to the decor and even the luxurious towels. Karen welcomed us with a cold bottle of Prosecco and a big basket of local goods. It is the perfect size for a family of three or four. Perfect blend of tradition and modern comfort. The best is the stunning view of the moors with lots of nearby public footpath linking the Dales Highway. It was lovely to greet the horses on the property with our son. Karen was truly the most hospitable and kindest host we’ve had in so many years on Airbnb. We will definitely be back to The Moors view, many more times.

Such a beautiful and private space with quality furnishings. Everything you may have forgotten is available in the property, all towels and linens fresh and clear instructions throughout. Overall a beautiful place to stay, we will be back and are very grateful to Scott for allowing us to create special memories.

This house was beautiful. We were welcomed in person by a very friendly and welcoming host and the one small issue we had was resolved within 5 minutes of contacting the host. We hope to stay at this property again. An amazing experience!

We’ve just come back from a short stay at Jacks cottage, this was our first booking through Airb&b so we didn’t really know what to expect, we needn’t of worried as we thought Jacks cottage looked even better in the flesh than in the pictures so did it disappoint. The place was spotless when we arrived which is great as it put us all at ease, we felt at home straight away. Jacks cottage is situated in a small and very quiet village, honestly there is no noise. We live in a busy town with road noise so going to sleep at night with no sound but the birds singing was lovely. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out walking and again was spotless. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the Peak District with some amazing walks right on the doorstep, we particularly enjoyed Bakewell, The Chatsworth estate and finding the very local Robin Hoods cave ( what 3 words assets.joined.offer if you struggle to find it). We loved staying at Scarlett’s place. We had everything we needed and everything was so easy to use. Very responsive host and great for letting us know that the place was ready an hour early! Hot tub was nice and warm with great location and privacy. We went to travellers rest (10 min walk) and the food was so nice and big portion sizes for the price. We even went back later on for the Wednesday night quiz night! Overall great place and would definitely stay again. Thank you

Wendy was a helpful, friendly and responsive host. The cottage was also such a cute and quirky little spot, close to the beautiful Haworth. Basic breakfast items were also left for guests to enjoy, which was a lovely, homely touch making us feel welcome. You need to park on the main road just a short walk from the property so there were a few more steps to that but the instructions were clearly sent in advance.

Wonderfully peaceful location. Holly Toft is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We paticularly appreciated how much care was given to ensuring the hot tub was spotlessly clean and freshly filled for our arrival. Kathryn is a superb host who clearly cares a lot about her guests. The field full of adorable lambs to look out on was a delightful bonus! Highly recommend! Thank you Kathryn.

The most perfect place to stay for the Peak District. The location is ideal if you are wanting to explore & have amazing walks. The house was so helpful fully equipped with more than the basics - easy to live in and helpful for cooking. The host was so helpful and we had super easy communication. The area was so quiet and peaceful, gorgeous garden & very comfortable beds. Also not far to Castleton which is a gorgeous village

Visiting family and chose this house for convenience. The house is lovely and a short walk into Shibden Park. Ideal location for us.

Lovely place to stay for a trip to the Peak District. Great host, I love that he had a booklet of recommend trails and restaurants etc.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Clarion Cottage. Excellent comms beforehand from hosts, who also offered an early check-in. Warm welcome on arrival for us and dog with recommendations for walking routes to pubs that were all dog friendly and served great food. Downstairs - we only used the kettle and fridge and handheld hoover, but the kitchen was spotless and really well equipped with cafetiere, packed lunch boxes……. Everything had been thought of! Sofa was perfect for a cosy evening after ling walks and being well fed. TV had digital channels that we could log into to catch up on our own subscription channels. The log burning fire would be super in winter, but we didn’t need to try it. Upstairs lovely shower pressure; bathroom was beautifully kitted out. Comfy bed. Thanks Deborah and Tim; perfect hosts. We’ll definitely look to return!

Hosts were very kind and caring. Wonderful place to stay and was very open and spacious for us. Clean and tidy. Kitchen stocked. Very nice to be able to use a washer and dryer. Will return one day when Happy Valley season 4 has been released. Picturesque views and close to Halifax, Hebden Bridge and Sowerby Bridge. Great walks nearby.

Amazing hosts, amazing property! everything was spot on. All the little extra really made the place feel like home. As soon as we arrived Ruth was so helpful and special thanks to Terry for driving me to my wedding car to get out of the wind and rain! A fantastic property and would definitely return! x

I had an amazing time staying here! Susan was a fantastic host—so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She gave us a lovely tour of the place and made everything so easy with her clear directions. It was super simple to get there. One of the highlights was how thoughtful she was—she even gave my son some books to read, which he absolutely loved. I mentioned we were planning a picnic with family, and she kindly provided a picnic blanket for us! The area itself is beautiful—private, quiet, and peaceful. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of London, and we were finally able to get some proper rest. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Such a beautiful cottage. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay with friends. Plenty of space for us all to relax after a day’s trekking. The house is perfectly situated … right next to all the local pubs and restaurants as well as being very accessible to all the great local walks. Castleton itself was extremely busy (possibly due to half term) but we felt we were in a little calm oasis when we were sitting outside in the pretty front garden of Bean Farm cottage. Also the spacious parking area just infront of the house is a real plus. We would definitely recommend this as a great base for walks in the Peak District and hope to return one day

Jackie’s Airbnb was absolutely incredible. It was beautiful, super clean and I’m someone who struggles to feel at home in Airbnb’s but this one was super homey. The views were incredible, loved seeing the farm animals around. Great recommendations were in the Airbnb for places to visit which also made our time super special. Couldn’t recommend enough it is such a gem of an Airbnb.

We had such a lovely stay, we were here for a wedding but glad we came the night before too so we could enjoy this lovely home, we sat out the back in the sun watching birds and enjoying the most stunning view! Perfect little place to stay

This place was great! The AirBnB was clean, well-equipped and thoughtfully decorated. It has everything you need, from a kitchen with great equipment to a great shower and beautiful bathroom. The bed itself also deserves a mention as it was very comfortable. Our hosts were kind and easy to reach whenever needed. Thanks for letting us stay! We'll definitely be back.
