Get away from it all in the Frisian countryside. We live wonderfully free, an ideal base for hikers, cyclists and readers. The Waddendijk is within walking distance (1.5 km) and in the village (1 km) is the renowned Pizzeria Pingjum. Studio Pekelvisch consists of a simple space on the ground floor and a sleeping loft above. Compact, tough furnished with lots of old building materials. Don't expect lavish luxury, but authenticity, charm and soothing tranquility.

The apartment Út fan hús has two bedrooms with a double bed, a living room with sofa bed, a kitchen with fridge and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment has its own entrance. From the apartment you have a wide view over the Frisian Greiden. It is located on the water where you can swim and fish. You can also use 1 or 2 person canoes, a boat and bicycles for free. The town of Sneek is a 15-minute drive away, while Leeuwarden is a 30-minute drive away.

Rural stay on Frisian Elfstedenroute

Within walking distance of the city center of Bolsward, on the Workumertrekvaart, the original Frisian Elfstedenroute, is our rural farm. We offer you a spacious room in this rural and watery area, which is equipped with a large double bed, (2x0.90), TV/sitting area and a completely new bathroom with Jacuzzi. Extra sleeping accommodation is available. We have recently realized this new space in our former cowshed, which is adjacent to our private home.

"De Mooie Liefde" Tiny house in Friesland.

Onze "Mooie Liefde" was vroeger de paardenstal behorend tot de eeuwenoude boerderij waarin wij wonen. In 2020 hebben wij het samen met veel liefde en passie omgetoverd tot een tiny house met een oude geleefde uitstraling. Via de groene trap kom je boven op de mooie vide met een 180x200 bed, met tweepersoons matras en tweepersoons schapenwollen dekbed. Onder de vide vinden jullie de prachtige badkamer en keuken. Cozy apartment with underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, with a unique look and tranquility, and a magnificent view. Loft with beautiful bedstee. Bed is made at you. Bath towels and kitchen towels are provided as standard. Complete kitchen, with fridge and freezer. Your pet is very welcome. We charge €5.00 per night (to be settled on the spot). There is a vacuum cleaner to leave the room without hair.

Atmospheric overnight stay in 't Bakhuske

Our beautiful comfortable Bakhuske is a small cozy apartment and equipped with all the comforts. You have access to a small terrace and you can also use the garden. Where you can enjoy the sun or, for example, make a fire. You can cycle and walk in the area. There are bicycle routes available.

In the picturesque center of Makkum, with its stately merchant houses from the 17th century, you will find this cozy apartment “De Snelle Jager”. You will spend the night under a beautiful old beam structure that was still laid by the carpenters from 370 years ago. And that sleeps wonderfully!
