The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Enjoy using the 3 kayaks on the lake during the day, then challenge each other to a game of 8 ball at night on the billiards table. Swim and enjoy cocktails by the pool on the lanai.

Ft Cooper State Park 1.1 miles away accessible by walking, car, or bicycle. Eden Park boat ramp is 3 city blocks away. 1 block away you have Cedar River Seafood restaurant & Cinnamon Sticks restaurant. Downtown is 7 minutes away having interesting things to see and do.

We are pet friendly for well behaved four legged friends that enjoy traveling. We have a 14 ft canoe and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy. We do have a small gas motor you can rent for the canoe allowing you to truly explore the lakes. Bring your boat! We have a community boat ramp one street over. Only minutes to downtown Inverness! PET FEE $25 per pet paid directly to host.

Shopping, restaurants, and entertainment is close by. Want a beach....35 minute ride to Fort Island Trail Beach and boat ramp. We do allow hypoallergenic small dogs (2 max), non-shedding, 25 lbs. or less, each w/ proof of shot records, please bring a kennel with you. There is a non refundable $25.00 per dog fee.

Relax in the living room falling asleep for afternoon naps while gazing at the serenity of the water. The house is quiet and set up for some nice long weekends. The Gulf of Mexico is just 14 miles to Crystal River which has a nice local beach. Scalloping and Manatee watching and much more to do in Citrus county. Orlando and Disney are just a little over an hours drive.
