Ain House Cottage Sleeps 4 Pets welcome

PaulRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We loved this place! Its peaceful with good local walks, a pub just down the road. Tea and coffee and a loaf of bread were provided which was very welome. We'd brought our 2 dogs along, and Soraya had thoughfully left some dog treats out too. Just outside there was a hot tub, which was a real bonus, and a great way to relax after a day out walking.

The Nook Holiday Cottage - Alston AONB

MartinRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Luxury cottage - river views, balcony and hot tub

EllieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay at this airbnb. The surroundings and building itself are beautiful. We fell in love with the very friendly cat who visited us many times. The balcony and garden are gorgeous and we got incredibly lucky with the weather. It maybe wasn’t as private as the listing suggests but it wasn’t much of an issue for us. The hosts were incredibly helpful to bring us plenty of bottled water while the water mains in the area were having some problems. We had a fantastic stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay. Barneys cottage is a lovely house, with great character and very nicely presented. The property was very clean and tidy, combining the traditional and modern features very well. Kev was also a great host - helpful when required but not intrusive. We would happily stay here again.

We had a really nice stay. The cottage was lovely and well kept with great shower facilities and little touches including a welcome pack of local produce. Sharon came to clean the hot tub each morning with the filter being changed between guests, bbq area (with large disposable BBQ to use, birds singing in a sheltered garden. Bathroom and hot tub towels provided, washing machine and tumble dryer easy to use. The beds were comfy and blackout blinds in all rooms. Beautiful surroundings; able to walk 30 minutes to an ice cream farm with play area or drive 5 minutes to Lowther castle

Contemporary yet cosy cottage for 2

AutumnRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Had a lovely weekend in The Lakes. The accommodation was fantastic and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a very quiet location surrounded by lovely scenery. We tended to drive up towards Coniston most days to go for our walks but this was an easy drive and we would also venture into Ulverston to get food in the evening. Fab location if looking for a peaceful rural stay.

Country Farm Cottage

PaulineRating, 5 stars3 days ago
There is no doubt it is beautiful decorated welcoming everything we needed The main road turning right is quite busy, 40 minutes drive to Williamson Park, 50 minutes to Lancaster We ate in the 1st night, second. Ight at the Shard, fabulous Very clean, beautiful quiet location, great secure parking, plenty of safe space for children, super patio area & hot tub ( we didn’t use) The little Coop five minutes drive away, we were planning to walk to the local pub but were unsure of the road although quiet drove to another restaurant. The heating was on even though in May, log fire, just enough for us rather than purchasing, great freezer, hot water plenty of space for families to spread around. In the visitors book families stay for Christmas now that would be wonderful as the hosts decorate the cottage that I guess would be magical

Hideaway Cottage, Staveley

DianaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We spent a week here in wonderful Staveley. The property was perfectly sized for 2 adults plus dog, and was so conveniently located for walks, amenities and public transport (we did not bring a car). The cottage had everything we needed and was clean to a really high standard. We had a small issue with the back door lock sticking but the owners were straight over to fix it. We loved it here and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.

She was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and gave recommendations for places to visit. the cottage was very comfortable and as described. the cottage felt secluded but was close to transport links for exploring the area. Breakfast items were in the kitchen on arrival which was a nice welcome touch. Would happily visit again.

ClareRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had the most enjoyable experience staying at Sara’s beautiful & cosy cottage. It was in the perfect location with easy walking distance into Town and only a short drive to Windermere & Ambleside. Peaceful cottage in a central location. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided by the host and Sara was available to answer our questions promptly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay and for the biscuits and mint chocs too. My daughter loved it too x

Quaint Cottage in the heart of a village

CherylRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a wonderful three-night stay at Joanne and Brian’s cottage in Scotby. The home is beautifully furnished, incredibly clean, and finished to a high standard. We especially appreciated the story of Madge and Flo—the old photographs and renovation history added so much character and charm. The location is quiet but conveniently close to Carlisle, making it a great base for exploring the area. Joanne and Brian were excellent hosts—very responsive and helpful. A small issue with the Hive was quickly resolved, and we appreciated their attentiveness. The welcome basket with wine, snacks, and quality mattresses were lovely touches that made our stay extra comfortable. We’d highly recommend this cottage to anyone and would definitely return!

Traditional English Cottage, Eden Valley, Cumbria

SandraRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We have stayed at so many Airbnb properties but this one is truly special in so many ways. Living in the US, not very much is “old” or has “character”. That being one of the reasons we like to visit, the Pheasant Inn Lodging was just perfect. The host was so kind, engaging, thoughtful and interested. It might be awhile before we return to England and Scotland, but when we do….. we will be back to this quaint piece of comfort and history b
