Idyllic Storvik is a small village at the end of Nordland coast in the middle of Saltstraumen and Svartisen. The surroundings are oceans, mountains, sandy beach and fishing waters. Here you can stay in the old grend school that we in our family have converted into a modern apartment. There are several marked hiking trails in the area. They range from very light, to more advanced trips for real "mountain goats". If you would rather relax on the beach and enjoy nature in the distance it is fully possible from the 1.5 km long sandy beach.

At Stia you can stay in scenic and tranquil surroundings with views of the fjord and mountains. Here you can enjoy silence under the starry sky and northern lights, or simply have lazy days on the beach "Stia" located just below the cottage. You can also enjoy the hot tub in summer as well as winter. If you want speed and excitement, there are many possibilities: Alpine hiking in Glomfjord, walking on Svartisen, skiing in the Meløy Alps, island hopping along the Helgeland coast and more. Cozy newly renovated cabin in idyllic Valnes. Good standard. Sleeps 9 in total. 🏡 Road all the way to the stairs. The cabin is located just 10 minutes from Saltstraumen and about 30 minutes away from Bodø. In Saltstraumen there are possibilities to shop for groceries, fishing and more. Here you have many nice hiking areas in the immediate vicinity, Valnesfossen is one of several nice places you can visit. Valnesvannet is just a few minutes away, here you will find good fishing spots, swimming areas and beaches. 🏡😊

Modern and fully equipped cabin on the saga island Leka

The cabin was completed in August 2021 and is very modernly furnished with everything you need. The view of World Heritage Vega and the sunsets in the sea is unbeatable. The cottage is situated alone with no insight from neighbours and is a great starting point whether you just want to enjoy the silence, go for a walk on one of the many hiking trails at Leka, rent the host's boat or kayak or go for a ride to watch the famous Ørnerovet. Beautiful house by the sea. Boat and car can also be rented.

A beautiful and unique location in Rognan (3km away from the city center) & close to Bodo (1h by train). Adapted for family, groups, this big wooden house has a special atmosphere. With a stunning view on the fjord, the sea is accessible, perfect for summertime ! There are plenty of hikes in the area (and a lighthouse nearby), and short drive to the mountains. The house has 5 rooms, 2 living rooms, a full-equipped kitchen and a warm and cosy bathroom with shower, bathtub, and washing-machine.

BOLGA, a remote IDYLL N of the ARCTIC CIRCLE

Bolga is a beautiful island on the Helgeland coast with approx 85 friendly inhabitants, a grocery store and a tavern. Exciting conditions for hiking, climbing, bouldering, kayaking, diving, seakiting, fishing and foraging. The cottage is situated in the south-west corner, 2 km easy walking from the harbour. Daily connection with the mainland by ferry or local boat to/from Ørnes and express boat to/from Bodø/Sandnessjøen. You may observe the amazing Northern Light from September.

Restored and charming seahouse from 1965. Brightly decorated house of 35 m2, with 2 small bedrooms on the loft. Living room has a dining area and a reading area. Sofabed for extra guests. Modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, and bathroom with toilet and shower. Outside area with garden furniture and campfire pan. Yacuzzi can be rented for an extra fee on 600,- for a weekend or 800,- by the week.
