House vacation rentals in Headington

The house was fantastic! It was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The weather during our visit was terrible and sadly we weren't able to enjoy the lovely garden and surroundings, but the house and games room kept our group of 6 adults and 3 children cozy and entertained throughout. Anne was very responsive throughout and even kindly arranged for us to have a slightly late check out on our last day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely property to anyone and we'd definitely be keen on visiting again.

The host graciously accepted a very last-minute 5-night booking and jumped on making arrangements for our stay. The property was very clean and tidy and exactly as described. Everything worked properly and the host provided detailed access and parking instructions that were invaluable. The Estate is very peaceful this time of year (December) and we had near-solo use of the Spa facilities and on site restaurant when we wanted them. As a dog-friendly property a secure/enclosed rear space would be welcome, but the private Estate no doubt has limitations that might make this hard. Bear this in mind if your dog tends to wander or head straight into the Thames! You’ll need to remember to keep them on a lead/line in the rear garden. Note that there’s plenty of off lead space next to the lake a couple of minutes walk away actoss the road. We re really enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub, which was easier to use than expected, and we made use of the car charger - both are perfect additions.

We had a really relaxing 4 night stay in the beautiful Lower Mill Estate. The house was impressive and very spacious, with everything you would need. We loved the hot tub and taking walks around the lakes. We didn't go to the spa/indoor pool, but the kids enjoyed the outdoor pool (30 degrees) which was almost empty due to it being October.

We loved our stay at Lucy's place, it was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds that the Coach House are in are just gorgeous and Lucy was kind enough to show us around. We'd love to come back in warmer months to enjoy them more and use the tennis court and swimming pool. We really enjoyed that The Fleece Inn pub was such a short walk through the grounds. The perfect comfortable base for exploring the Cotswolds!

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

We had a wonderful family weekend away at Cotswold's House. It was very clean, cosy, had everything we needed, and we felt at home straight away. The basket of goodies and supplies, as well as the chilled fizz, were all very much appreciated! Thank you Ian, we did enjoy staying in your home.

Lovely home in a nice location with everything you need for that special multi-family get together on the lakes. The local restaurant was very good, they really looked after us for my mothers birthday. The outdoor pool and the tennis court were all well maintained. Host Sandra provided us with an excellent welcome pack and was always on hand when called upon. Would like to return in the summer for water-sports and biking all available on site.

The house is in a great location, close to the Headington hospitals which we have been visiting in our stay. Very green area whith natural reserve and parks nearby. Tesco superstore is 10 minutes drive and Oxford city center is 20 minutes drive. Grocery store in 2-minutes walk for basic stuff. The house is cozy, well eqiupped and suitable for a stay with small children. The host team is easy to communicate and had service persons who were around for taking care of garbage, gardening etc. Reccomended.

Thank you and we had a wonderful stay at Nick’s house. It was a lovely place and even had a Christmas tree up during the holiday season. Easily walked to Park and Ride to explore Oxford.

The room was big, super clean and well furnished. You can access Oxford city center through a nice meadow. Being outside of Oxford made it easy for us to park our car. Katie is a wonderful host, I’ll definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Linda's house for 6 nights and can only say positive things about the accommodation and the hosts. The house is very well maintained and clean. You can tell that the hostess thinks of everything her guests might need. We were greeted with a welcome card and left fruit, biscuits, coffee, tea and everything we needed so we didn't have to run to the supermarket when we arrived. The neighbourhood has everything within 5-10 minutes walking distance and is a safe and pleasant area. You can walk to the centre in about 45 minutes or take the bus from the bus stop at the corner of the house. To the neighbours, we didn't even hear you. All in all everything was perfect! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful short little stay with Elinor but wished we had taken a few extra days in her beautiful unit. The place was perfectly setup and full of character and charm (inside an old pub, all the history provided!) Elinor and her husband were such wonderful hosts. Thank you so much for having us and making us feel right at home!

Great place and Great communication

Maria's house had everything we needed - really comfortable and welcoming - and an easy bus ride into town. Maria was really helpful and answered any queries very quickly. Great host, lovely house

Lovely, homely place, very clean and tidy. Only a 10 minute bus ride into the centre of Oxford with the bus stop right around the corner. We just wish we’d had more time to spend here!

Phoebe's barn is nothing short of magical! My friends and I stayed here for a reunion after five years apart, and it was absolutely perfect. The barn is luxurious with everything we could possibly need. The fireplace was so cozy and the beds were incredible. There are several great pubs just a short drive away. We enjoyed an amazing roast at The Pointer. A huge thank you to Phoebe and her husband for being such gracious hosts—and for being so understanding about the noise on our first night (let’s just say our rendition of Dancing Queen might’ve been hard to miss from their house next door!).

Great location and great space for working with colleagues. Nderim could not have been more helpful. Work team from across country come together once or twice annually in Oxford. would definitely use again. thank you!

Al's house is in a fantastic location, in a quiet cul de sac yet very easy to walk into the city over the cycle path or university parks. It's warm and cosy, with everything you need. The garden outlook was great and we'd have used it more in better weather. Parking was easy. Al was a very responsive host, sending messages before arrival, reminding about rubbish night, etc. The listing is accurate - despite beds for 6, there's only dining chairs for four, and one bathroom : I think it would be fairly snug staying there with 6. Some things are new, eg kitchen, funky light shades, and an enormous TV: others could be upgraded - new pillows, towels, and maybe a mattress topper would have made our stay more comfortable. I'm not sure under 5s would manage well with the stairs or the TV. Also it's worth reading Al's notes about the hot water otherwise this tended to run out at shower time. Thanks Al for a great stay, we'd come again for sure :)

Good place. Clean. Wan wardrobe was broken in the kitchen and prior to the check in we told the host and they were cooperative. Although we stayed for a long and good period of time around 14 days and the check in was late at that day. Upon Check out they informed us prior one day that the checkout is 10 am sharp. So at the day of checkout, we were almost ready at 10:15 but Hamish contacted us around 10 and said you have to check out now as the cleaners are outside. We expected at least 30 minutes more given the good period of time, but we stayed at their property. But overall as a family, it was a good place good facilities clean and convenient. One of the curtains in the living room(plastic) was very loose when we tried to open it and it fell easily without manipulating it. Again, thank you very much for hosting me and my family. Looking forward for another opportunities.

Jake and Sophia’s flat in Oxford is charming, comfortable, well appointed, and wonderfully located – adjacent to Magdalen (“Maudlin”) Bridge and College and the Oxford Botanic Garden. You are walking distance to countless restaurants and coffee shops and an easy hop to nearby bus stops. Jake was incredibly communicative and helpful, providing tips and recommendations that proved invaluable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great place. We felt right at home. Very close to the bus station which made it easy to move around. Would recommend it for a big group staying at Oxford.

Angela’s house is lovely, so comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing in her sitting room most evenings. The location was good, easy walking distance to the centre of Oxford as well as a frequent bus service. There is a beautiful garden which unfortunately we were unable to make use of because of the awful weather. There is lots to do in Oxford and Angela gave us some recommendations for restaurants.
