Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Headington

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Matthew and Jane's B&B. The location was peaceful with lovely views over the countryside and Matthew and Jane were friendly and attentive hosts. We were welcomed with hot drinks on arrival which was lovely after a long drive. Making arrangements to arrive was easy with good, clear communication from Jane. Every room was spotless and tidy and the beds were comfortable with quality mattresses, pillows and sheets. Breakfast was delcious and Jane was keen to ensure we all had a breakfast we would enjoy with options to choose from. We would definitely stay again. Thank you both.

Christopher is a great host. He is very responsive and he will give detailed instructions whenever you ask him a question. He is very respectful of your private space as well.

Easy to find in a beautiful location. Very cosy room perfect for our family of 3. Joan & her Husband were so friendly and they cooked us the most amazing breakfast. Thank you for being lovely hosts, we will hopefully be back 😊

great place, we came to visit with our 2 month old daughter, we were upgraded to a room that was easily accessible with her pram, very spacious and clean. the host takes a while to respond sometimes but when they do they are very helpful. highly recommend

Perfect accommodation + perfect host = happy customers! This was the perfect pit stop for our journey to LEGOLAND. The room was the perfect size for 2 adults, 2 children and a baby. Breakfast was in the room and ample for all of us to set us up for our busy day. Host was extremely responsive throughout. It was a shame The Tally Ho pub is closed on a Monday (understandable reasons for why they don’t open) as food and a cold beverage downstairs would have been perfect. Note: if finding food in Hungerford please avoid The Bear pub. Lots of other lovely looking eateries in the lovely town.

My stay was so comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated with old furniture and paintings. There was so much to see and it was a delight to spend time there. It’s on a busy street, but inside the house it’s peaceful and calm. The host was welcoming and helpful and the family were really friendly. They even have a gorgeous dog! I really enjoyed my few days away and can highly recommend this home.

If you are looking for a quiet retreat in the Cotswolds, which is cosy , homely and spotless , this is perfect. The cottage matched up to expectations and was perfect for a pre Christmas break with friends . Broadway, Stow and Morton are a short drive away and the surrounding countryside is stunning . Pamela , the host was very responsive to enquiries and was keen to ensure we had everything we need for an enjoyable stay .

Selene was the host and she was fantastic. Friendly at check-in and didntmind making me breakfast 30 mins after the official breakfast had ended as I had been for a run and got back later than planned. The guesthouse was very quiet (especially considering it is on a main road) and I slept very well. It was a good location near lots of restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone needing to visit relatives in Churchill Hospital (less than a mile) or anyone wanting to stay within 30 minutes walk of central Oxford.

Julia and her family (Florent, the young boys) are wonderful. The house is very well-located with respect to the center of Oxford if you have means of transportation or if you like to go by bicycle (a ten minute ride, and they lend you an excellently well-kept bike with all you need); the bike path to town goes almost exclusively via beautiful parks. At home with Julia and her family, you really are in a wonderful, respectful and warm environment. You prepare your own breakfast (in a very well-equipped kitchen) and occasionally may even share dinner with the family (I only did twice since I was in a big conference where there were other dinners). There is a quality of life that is difficult to describe, but that you recognize when you see it: warmth, respect, and care. I think Julia's place in Oxford is a fantastic combination of those three qualities. All in all, a wonderful option while in Oxford for tourism or for an academic meeting.

Great place, great location easy to walk anywhere. The place is very convenient, comfortable and incredibly clean. Feels so good to stay there. Billy has a lot of dedication to hosting.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming during my stay! I was not around often as I had a full conference day, but they provided anything I could possibly need and communicated well, despite issues I had with my own technology as I travelled.

This was everything we wanted from our stay with Cherry. She was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home - the little details surpassed anything we’ve seen on airbnb before. She even dropped us off at the start line of my race at 6am the next day! Couldn’t recommend enough.

Our stay was perfect, we were given our own en suite bathroom, plenty of space for our clothes and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Richard is a super friendly guy, who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was a real treat! Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Arlene’s cottage was beautiful and the accommodation area was all we could want and more, cosy, beautifully clean and comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom. Arlene was a delight to meet, very friendly and helpful but not in any way intrusive. The breakfast she supplied was sensational with fresh foods and local fruits and goodies - definitely a lovely start to each day and lots of thoughtful touches in the room including some tasty little treats. We would definitely recommend a stay here and would add that it’s a great location as a base to explore the area with lots of options to walk to for meals if needed. We hope we will be back - thank you again Arlene 😊

Super easy to find, get into and walk into the town from. The location was gorgeous - even in the winter. Breakfast was simple, tasty and the breakfast cabin had a nice atmosphere. We would stay here again. The host is really communicative and friendly and you feel at home easily.

Andrew was friendly and accommodating with great communication before I arrived. After meeting me outside and helping me with my stuff I felt immediately at home. His home is a home, not a hotel, and he is a fantastic host. I felt like a friend from the first evening and enjoyed the many chats we had during my stay. I was travelling with my dog Angus and he was also welcomed like an old friend. The room and bed were very comfortable (I slept very well) with plenty space. The neighbourhood is peaceful and a delight to walk around with plenty amenities a short walk away, a stand out being the Prince Arthur pub which was very welcoming with good food and atmosphere. Being so close to the long walk was perfect for walking Angus. Overall I had a wonderful time - I was travelling with work and felt I was really able to relax and unwind after coming "home". Thank you Andrew for welcoming me and Angus in to your home and being a wonderful host.

I had a lovely time at Steven's. The place is near the station, shops and sport center. The room was well prepared and offered all needes to rest, shower and sleep properly. Everything was clean and tidy. Steven is a great and welcoming host who made sure I had everything and offered breakfast if needed. I recommend and would come back any time with pleasure.

Phillida’s beautiful home is quite simply idyllic. The thought and attention that has gone into every beautiful detail makes for such a cosy inviting space that made us feel relaxed and at home immediately - (whilst at the same time offering an interior design that truly belongs in a Vogue spread!) From the wallpaper and soft furnishings to the luxuriously comfortable bed and fantastic shower - this is such a special place set in the most peaceful of Cotswolds villages. Phillida and her two doggies are so welcoming and kind and the clever configuration of the house allows for the perfect balance between having your own space and having just such a lovely hostess on hand if you need any help. We really didn’t want to leave and we really, really hope to go back, thank you so much for having us Philly! x
