Cozy Getaway - Walk to Downtown

ChristineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had such a lovely stay at Jennie’s place! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The space was incredibly cozy—thoughtfully decorated, clean, and filled with all the little touches that make a big difference. Cozy blankets and super comfortable beds! Jennie was communicative, kind, and made sure everything was just right without being intrusive. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, charming place to relax.

Lost Trail Chalet

Just what we needed! Very cozy inside and was nice and quiet for a goods night rest. It’s always tougher traveling with dogs but the fenced yard made it easier. We were later than originally planned for check in and Heidi helped us over the phone check in and find everything.

1894 Place was just as beautiful in person as in the photos. Felicia did such a wonderful job creating an elevated and comfortable setting. You can tell thought and care was put into every detail of the Airbnb, from having the kitchen stocked with any equipment you might need, to cozy, lots of towels, etc!

Heaven on Earth

We had a very nice stay at Cyndee's. The apartment was perfect for an overnight stay for a wedding we attended in the area. Cyndee was a great host--she met us on our arrival and was friendly. The apartment was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Beautiful views of the mountains. We would definitely stay at Cyndee's if we're ever in the area again.

We had a wonderful stay at Bob and Merleen’s! They were proactive with communication and check in was easy. Their place was spacious, stocked with thoughtful snacks and perfect for our family visit. We especially enjoyed the quiet patio mornings - beautiful views and coffee! We have already recommended it to nearby family for others to enjoy and hope to stay again the next time we’re in town.

Little Blue Guesthouse

We loved staying in Iris’s tiny home! It was clean, comfortable and the perfect size for my partner and I. Total bonus having a washer and dryer! Iris was very communicative and responded fairly quickly. There are tons of cats roaming the property that were so sweet (if you’re not a cat person they won’t bother you!) and a chicken coop. We sadly didn’t have time to try some of the fresh eggs that Iris offered but we’ll have to take advantage of it next time!

Your guide to Hamilton

All About Hamilton

The city of Hamilton, Montana, offers wild beauty and adventure year round. During winter, snow blankets the orchards, ranches, and mountains until spring, when pink blooms cover the same farms and fields. The canyons and mountains of the Bitterroot Valley are threaded with trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding in the warmer months, and draw skiers and snowshoers when their landscapes are covered in white powder. Along Hamilton’s alpine lakes and rivers, you’ll find fly fishers casting lines and kayakers gliding along the clear waters.

Hamilton is the largest city in the valley, which is protected by the surrounding Sapphire Mountains, named for the tons of precious blue gems mined here in the 20th century. The Kenai Nature Trail that runs along wetlands offers sweeping views of Bitterroot Valley and the Sapphire Mountains. Along the Wildlife Viewing Area trail that borders the Bitterroot River, you may spot beavers, otters, and American mink, while eagles and hawks soar above.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Hamilton

Summer months are the warmest and best time to book vacation rentals in Hamilton, as well as a great time to take in local events. In June you can take Dutch oven cooking lessons and take wagon rides during Western Heritage Days in Stevensville, just 18 miles away. In July, Hamilton hosts the Hardtimes Bluegrass Festival. Fall and spring can be chilly, but if you want to celebrate Hamilton’s harvest season, check out the Annual McIntosh Apple Day in October, where you can munch on caramel apples or take home apple chutney and apple pies. Hamilton winters are cold enough for skiing but milder than anywhere else in the state. You can kick off the winter holidays in late November at the Tree Lighting.
