Much care and attention to detail has been poured into the design and function of the property so you can enjoy an effortless stay.

Experience all the village has to offer with just a very short walk (100m) to the village cafes, restaurants and hotel.

Welcome to The Tailor’s Cottage – a charming piece of Kangaroo Valley’s history.

As one of the oldest cottages in the valley, The Tailor’s Cottage dates back to the 1800s and was once home to the village tailor and his eight children. This beautifully preserved, fully self-contained one-bedroom heritage cottage blends historical character with modern comfort.

Relax on the spacious front veranda, soak in the serene surroundings, or unwind on the peaceful back veranda with a good book or a glass of wine.

Inside, you’ll find a light-filled, open-plan lounge and dining area complete with a open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The separate bedroom, tucked away at the rear of the cottage, offers both comfort and privacy.

Perfect for couples looking for a romantic retreat or small families seeking a quiet escape, The Tailor’s Cottage is a warm and welcoming space to relax, recharge, and experience the charm of Kangaroo Valley.

We provide everything you will need to have a relaxing stay.

Full kitchen facilities, cleaning products, tea towels, pantry provisions provided.

We are a family & child friendly cottage, we welcome families. A porta cot, baby bath, high chair can be provided upon request. Please let us know if you need theses little extras.

Full laundry facilities, washing machine, dryer and clothes line, washing powder provided.

Reverse cycle air conditioning/ heating in all rooms and open fire in lounge. You will be comfortable in summer and winter.

Fully renovated bathroom. (shower only, walk in)

Quality linen, bath and beach towels provided.

Free Wifi and Netflix. Wifi is fast and reliable.

We are located directly across the road from the Kangaroo Valley community swimming pool. It’s a great place to cool off on hot summer afternoons.

Unlimited parking is available on the street in front of the cottage. This is not metered.

Our cottage is located in the heritage precinct of the Kangaroo Valley village.

The Kangaroo Valley Hall, Swimming pool, showground and children’s playground are located directly across the road.

Local restaurants, many cafés, the pub & bottle shop, pharmacy, general store etc are all located within a very short walk. The cottage is located on Moss Vale road.

Kangaroo Valley is uniquely situated between the beautiful villages of the southern highland and the incredible beaches of Jervis Bay. Making Kangaroo Valley the ideal location to base yourself to explore both uniquely beautiful regions. We provide our ‘locals guide’ in the house for suggested day trips and great restaurants within our region.

My husband and I purchased the Tailor’s Cottage 15 years ago. We lived in the cottage while we designed and built the Tailor’s Terrace that was completed in 2016. We now reside in Vaucluse and are extremely fortunate to enjoy our properties in the Valley on the weekends with family and friends to unwind. Much care and attention has been poured into the design and function of the properties so you can enjoy an effortless weekend away.
